villager clothes

how do you like to do it?

do you like them to keep their original clothes? do you like to make them wear certain shirts you pick out for them? do you like them to wear custom designs? do you plan your custom designs to look good on all villagers or just one?

i like when my villagers wear colored stripes. my designs in the able sisters shop are all colored stripes and since there are lots of striped shirts in the game i can usually get all of my villagers in stripes

i just let my villagers wear whatever they want and it's usually the ugliest things but i can't be bothered to care lol. In my themed town I care a bit more and want them to look visually sound, but in my everyday town I just let them be the free spirits they are.

i let them wear anything they want as long as it doesn't clash horribly with them/my town :') if it's bad, i just send them nicer clothes or just wait it out
i usually get rid of all the able sisters designs first thing though, because i like to display my own designs. i think it's cute when my villagers wear my designs, and i usually make solid color shirts with some small detail (front pocket, lapels, little wings on the back, etc.) on them

aw yeah!!! it's nice to let them wear what they want. right now in ruth beardo and miranda are in really bad shirts it's bright red and i hope they change their minds soon but for now it is okay

i like the idea of pockets and lapels and wings!!

I prefer villagers to wear their original clothes, but it does get boring if they wear the same thing all the time, so I do change things up here and there. I usually stock up on something I want a particular villagers to wear, then I just send them the same item over and over until they finally wear it. Same goes for when I want them to wear their original clothes. It's annoying when you have to deliver a gift from one villager to another and the item is clothing. Then the recipient asks how the new clothing looks once they try it on. If it's ugly, I just tell them so and then they take it off, commenting on my brutal comments. lol

sometimes it is mean to be mean but sometimes they're just in ugly clothes and you need to let them know hehe

Absolutely not!

All my villagers wear the Epona Outfit, and it fits with my theme.

I went through a horrid tulip shirt trend, and that will NEVER happen again!

When I had WW, my son had Biskit, and he made a brown shirt pattern the same color.

Biskit started wearing it as it was in the Able Sisters, and totally looked naked. O_O
