Villager already wants to move out after update

I never timetravel.
My last villager moved in 4th of October. And I thought there is a gap between how often villagers can move out. Last villager who moved out was on 1st of October. That are 8 days and not the usual 2 weeks. Never had that before and my thoughts were may the update caused to reset the moving out timer? Does anyone else have this issue or is the move out timer generally decreased? I‘m confused for now.

I don't believe that there's an established "time" of when a villager will ask to move out. (It's not exactly two weeks but it's just a safe estimate.) That perception became evident because of the way players observed them. And some are using the basis of time traveling to determine this behaviour.

I have yet to see an official statement from Nintendo that describes this really. Hopefully, someone here can cite data or helpful resources for us to use. I also can't deny the fact that updates may have changed these behaviours. It's not stated in their official patch notes though.

i keep track of every villager that move in and out of my town with dates when they move in, when they move out, how many days they lasted etc.
(I do this since the GC version back when I was a child, some ritual I keeped till this day )
However, how I sayd, I never timetravel and when I look at my villager list there wasnt nearly any short gap like this before. And in past games it never deviates from its own ingame set moving out rhythm, this is the first time it ever happens to me, so I‘m really confused. May you are right and this time there is no determined time between move outs and I‘m just unlucky this time around

Was the last villager that moved in a camper? If I remember correctly campers don't reset the counter for when villagers can ask to move out.

There was a datamine that stated that there is a 15-day cooldown after you have an empty plot before another villager has a chance of asking to move. Like Sharksheep says, though, campsite villagers don't cause an empty plot so they don't reset this cooldown. Also, this isn't the first I've heard of updates doing wonky things in-game.
