Villager accents?

By "Chang", do you mean Chow? XD

Back to topic: Yes, I agree.
Some of the villagers do have an accent - at least to me that is, when I am talking to the them <3
So lovely <3 <3

Though,
Chang is his German name, I believe.

Pando is his Spanish name....I think...

ooh
I imagine Diana to speak in a posh way (not necessarily british tho)

Jacques is most likely French considering his name and catchphrase "zut alors!" (which roughly translates to "oh crap" or "shucks" heh). So i imagine him with a French accent but with a rather soothing voice, ye.

I'd like to think of a villager with a Bostonian accent but i can't really think of one now, haha.

Idk I have never viewed Marshal having an english accent, If anything I always imagined him having an almost pretentious American accent. I do Imagine Blanche with an incredible Posh British accent but thats about it.

Yet, the other wolves aren't allowed? Freya, Lobo, Wolfgang, Skye, and Chief?

no those jerks aren't allowed to have accents. actually I duct taped their snouts shut because they're not even allowed to talk

nah, I was just talking about the wolves I'm familiar with (the ones in my towns). since this thread seemed to be about our personal villagers. but I'm sure the others do too, lol

Yes it`s Chow in the english version of the game.
Though,
Chang is his German name, I believe.

Oh my. Chow has a German name, and it's Chang?? what's the point though
I do think Chow is a really cute name and pretty 'universal' to me, but what do I know.
Thanks for pointing that out - learn something new there! C:

LOLOL XD

On topic: Whenever I see Costeau / Jacques, I can't help but seeing Poirot / David Suchet.
So naturally, they would totally sound like Monsieur Poirot to me. <-- big Poirot fan here

For my villagers, I think deep into their speedy mumbles.
Stitches - adorable lil kiddie voice (kiddie furniture too, hmm..)
Shari - Kinda typically teenage girl voice
Ruby - popular teenage girl
Molly - sweet innocent girl
Lolly - mature mama's voice (on the soft, high-tone side)
Drake - Dorky newly adult man voice
Bruce - Deep, some kind of accent voice
Marshal - A voice I find familiar, but can't claim from where...
Antonio - teenage guy on the football team, average tone, not too manly.

Idk, I'm just an imaginative dork.

Yupyup :)
All of them have German names. Some of them stay the same, but from what I saw most of them are different than the English version.
I think they all have Spanish names, too.

The German List of Villagers and Whatnots

There's a website, to see German version of their names, if you can navigate it. I know a very very little bit of German, but some of the words are pretty easy to guess.

Edit: Here's a thing Punchy's German name is Julian.
and Julian's German name is Jimmy...

I've always given them regional American accents, I guess. Sparro is definitely from Boston, Avery and Pate are southern, and the rest are just generic Mid-Atlantic.

Oh.
I guess I could actually answer the question.
No, I don't think of them having accents, except
for the way Chuggaconroy made Shari sound...
I guess if I gave it some thought I could think up something, but
I don't, generally. I wish I could. I think it would make talking to them
much more interesting.

to me:
- Marshal sounds like Stewie Griffin
- Julian sounds like HIM from Power Puff Girls
- Whitney sounds like Jessie from Pokemon Anime
- Beau sounds like a very sleepy Bart Simpson

I have more but can't remember them now :P

a. I always imagined him to be voiced by Quinton Flynn.
b. Say WHAAAAAAAAAT!?
c. ...Get out.
d. Wouldn't Beau be a girl?

I imagine Portia having sort of a posh voice, similar to Rarity off of MLP is the best way I can explain it.

I can almost see Elvis the Lion trying to imitate the voice of Elvis the singer. xD

I imagine the same thing with Portia ^^

I don't know why, but I think of Willow as having an English accent. I also imagine Bluebear talking like a stereotypical valley girl for some reason lol
