You probably already know that Vick was sentenced today 23 months of federal prison. When he gets out he will be 30.

I have a few questions. Do you think Vick will be re-instated to the NFL? Should he be? Will a team pick him up?

Personally, I think yes to all of those. The man did his time in jail. While some people protest that he should fight in a ring to the death like the dogs did he served his punishment. What more do you want? I don't think he will be a quarterback but with his athleticism he should be able to run, catch, and return for a team. Not to mention that he will be working for a low wage.

Vick is irrelevant and unimportant, just like Britney Spears.

How so?
It's the same thing, only this guy was an athlete instead of a singer. They were both rich and famous, and only got much media attention because of this.

Or are you asking why they both are irrelevant?

I'll just say this, I firmly believe that celebrities and others of the rich-and-famous's lives are not something that needs to be reported on. Whatever happened to journalism?

Vick is hardly a celebrity. He is an NFL QB who was one of the most known and marketed athletes in the world that was convicted on a federal crime. Would a celebrity get convicted?

Do you even follow sports?

I find it sad what happened to Vick, since I've been a fan of his for years.

I think he will be re-instated in the NFL, especially if a team is in dire need of a QB.

Maybe. In the past, I have no doubt that he would, but hopefully Goodell will keep with his strict policies and not let him back in. Could go either way... if I had to answer yes or no, I'd say no right now.

Should he be?
Nope. He proved that he can not handle the role he was given. He said he had turned over a new leaf. He lied about that. The guy's a thug, he should not be brought back.

Will a team pick him up?
No. The media attention would be so negative, and he's never really proven himself as a true superstar QB... the cons would not be worth the pros of picking him up, especially for his salary.

How has he not proven himself as a superstar QB? Kids in America to Isreali Rap groups recognize him as the face of the NFL. Also, his salary would be low. As for the media, why should the media bash someone who, unlike O.J., actually went to jail and confessed?

The only person that I can think of that would bash him is Jim Rome, Skip Baylees, and Jay Marrioti. And since when has anyone given a damn about what they think?

umm I think by what you just said he is a celebrity, how can you be one of the most marketed athletes in the world and not be considered a celebrity in at least some ring of people.

I didn't know averaging 15TD/13INT/2400YDS is being a superstar...

I had the wrong definition of celebrity. I meant not in the way Spears is.

Having the most sold jersey does.

When I think NFL, I do not think Vick. I think Tomlinson, TO, and Peyton (actually I think Lawrence Taylor, Joe Montana, and Dan Marino). Vick hasn't been useful for the Falcons for 2 seasons now. Plus, he's a scumbag. He always has been...even when he played in college. So is his brother...it runs in the family. Vick should not be allowed back into the NFL as a player. Maybe as part of the practice squad for a team, but not as a regular guy.
