This used to work in WW but it doesn't in NL. I tried it back when the game first came out because that's how I kept everyone in my WW town, but I still got pinged to move from villagers I had letters for.

I think she means write a letter and have it blue, ready to send before trying to get your next pinger..I would say do it right after someone has left before a new one is chosen as they may have not worked before if you wrote it after they were set to be the next...but I have no confirmation, may try it after Katt leaves and test it by writing it that day as am targeting a specific there next.

Yeah, sorry, this doesn't work at all. I had a letter addressed to one of my villagers and she still asked to move.

I can confirm that. I had a letter addressed to Skye in my mailbox. This morning she came to me and said she wanted to leave

Oh wow. That is actually really brilliant! It also makes sense. The game would probably break if someone moved out if you still had a letter addressed to them.

As other have said before, this is completely untrue. I tried this and it changes nothing >.<
