Very Bright gold spots?

What's the difference between the aggressively shiny (and almost orange coloured) glowing spots on the ground vs the regular, faint, gold ones?

There's the glowing spot you dig up, find bells, then bury those bells in that hole to make a bell tree. You could also bury up to 10k bells for a chance at tripling your money.

I have 4 bell trees on ExIsle that I'll never shake.
