I really loved my main room before, but after I added another room to the right hand side of my house, Nook added another window. Now my TV doesn't fit in the same place. It looks dumb, right? With the TV being that high over a window? I feel like it's gonna be a headache redesigning the "living room" section, anyone have any ideas? I guess I could get rid of one of the fish posters and move the TV there but I really like the fish posters

Oh no, it could be your wallpaper that you're using. Some don't have windows if you're wiling to change it, although it seems like you're sort of going for a cabin look. Instead of hanging the tv on a wall maybe you can put down a low table and set a tv on it?

Yeah, I'm probably going to hunt for a TV from the shops instead of a wall TV, thank you

Perhaps you could move the tv underneath your fish poster and swap the sofa and the rocking chair? The standing TV is a lot pricer than the wall mounted one if you're short on bells

The main room is always the hardest for me to decorate, it's such an odd shape by the time you account for doors and things. But I agree on the window thing. Some don't have them, and that might help. Though I really wish they made EVERY wallpaper with the option to have or not have windows.

I went to Harv's island and tooled around until I came up with this, until I can order another rug and book it's gonna look like the second image though. Thanks for the tips

But with it like that you can watch tv and see out the window if any villagers fall into pitfalls.

If they're going to a more rustic look, the Lattice Wall is perfect. It doesn't have windows and it has the perfect look of an old countryside house.

Yeah that Lattice Wall looks great! I'm pretty sure it's available at Nooks Cranny so at least it's cheap, and you don't have to go through Saharah to get it!

Yeah, I found it at NC. I also use exactly the same flooring as them in tandem with the Lattice Wall in my main room and it looks amazing when you pair them up with antique or rattan furniture
