Uuuh, what just happened?

So I recently tried to get my dreamie, Mitzi. I went to pick her up in another town and she wouldn't come to me. I had space for her for sure and I never had her in my town before. I went back to my town and changed the date to the next day to try again, and a crappy villager placed a plot as my 10th villager, so I had to give up (she was voided :'(. Now she's wandering around in my villager plaza. I NEVER had her before, nor have I seen her in my plaza before. What happened? Do I have to wait for the 16 villager cycle to get her now? This is so upsetting...

wow, that's really strange! it sounds like you picked up someone's voided villager, but i have no idea why or how mitzi would be wandering around your main street if you've never had her before. if i were you, i'd work on TT'ing that unwanted villager out (or any unwanted villager in your town) and then try to adopt her again from someone else, and if it still doesn't work, then you'll have to try the 16 villager cycle. that is so weird though, i have no idea how that could happen unless you had her before (maybe as one of your starters?) and she left so long ago that you forgot you had her.

I agree with what Crash said, it sounds like maybe you had her at one point and possibly just don't remember?
Maybe you had her a long time ago and she wasn't around long or something.
I don't see how she could be at the plaza unless you had her.
I've never had villagers at main street unless they lived in my town before.

I keep all my letters of villagers telling me they moved so I remember who I had and she's not in there. I've never seen her in the plaza before. But it is possible she came and went during a very long time travel. I usually never TT, but I did have my game time severely messed up before (not sure how it happened), but maybe she's a result of that?

That sounds like the most likely cause of this.
She could have moved in and moved out during the TT.
It's still weird though!
