My 3 favorite villagers continue to ask to move out over and over again. I have 10 and the rest of them need to go! There should really be a cycle to this...

Maybe rename this thread, Cause I wanna know this too! My 3 best villagers keep asking to move, but the other 7 guys wanna stay to infest my town!

I've heard a theory that the closer the villagers are to you the more often or faster they'll ask to move. I noticed that you both said your best/favorite villagers keep asking. Maybe that's why? I have absolutely no idea if it's true but... shrugs.

That would make sense. I heard somewhere that, that was the programming for Wild world. I thought they removed it tho XD

Hmmm I don't think I've found that with my towns. Generally everybody asks to move at some point, but some ask more than others. I very often have just 2 villagers who give me moving pings for 2 weeks in game. Fauna pinged me one day, I rejected. 3 days later punchy pinged, rejected again. Then TT some more and it's fauna followed by punchy. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason for it really.

I would say friendship level plays a part in who asks to move. The ones you interact with most are the ones that ask to move - subjective but its what a lot of players say.

Its not deliberate on my part, although there are villagers I like a lot, I don't show them, I treat them all the same.
I have more than one town, so I haven't really got the time to do more.

Who asks to move in my towns seems to be random - friendship levels are around the same for all of them (medium to possibly high).
Not much help, you still have to keep a close eye on your favourites to stop them moving.

Try talking only to the villagers you want to keep, writing them letters, sending them presents, and completely ignoring the rest of your villagers. If you've ever talked to the villagers you're trying to get rid of, they'll stick around longer because you've technically begun your friendship with them (it starts the day you introduce yourself).

I made a guide on how to move villagers out recently, but you might also find some of the information in it useful for keeping your villagers around. Here is the link, if you'd like to take a look, but if not, just remember that to get the right villagers to move, you need to talk to the ones you want to keep consistently, and ignore the ones you don't want to keep consistently.

This happened to me so much, that when I took a break from the game, literally all my dreamies left on their own and got replaced by random uggos in horrible spots (I forgot about the hiatus trick).

I think it's better when it's random though, because then otherwise it'll be like the 16 villager cycle and impatient people like me will have to wait for the other 9 villagers to ask before the hated 10th one leaves.

I have this proble so much too, though mainly for only one of my dreamies. I swear, every second elaving request is from Skye. Though marshal has only asked to move out once. He's chill. Though I've had Prince the Frog (Though he's actually Kermit in disguise) who I dislike and wanted to get rid of, and he hasn't asked to mvoe the entire game.

I'll try paying lots of attention to my unwanted vistors! I had no idea that might actually help. Thanks to everyone who commented :) I might be back to let you know if it works.a

I think it's random; but i do see a lot of people claiming the ones you talk to the most are the ones who ask to move more often....
