Using qr patterns

Hi everyone. I just unlocked the qr code reader and made myself a mote. Now I want to make a pathway but when I scan a new code over one if the existing pattern it replaced the old messing up my mote. How do people have such cool towns with this limitation and is there a way around it?

If you're using more than 10 patterns you'll have to make additional characters to hold the rest of them. You have to unlock the QR machine on those characters too though. Good luck!

Once you create a new carictor can he be deleted and if so will the patterns disappear?

Yes, you can delete new characters but the designs will be deleted/disappear too.
