Using Alt. Characters' Houses

Yep I think this is a fairly common thing to do with alt houses :)

One of my alts, R. Beef, has a hotel. The main room is the lobby, with the other three rooms on the main floor being hotel rooms with different themes. There's a cafe on the second floor and a beach in the basement.

Molly has a school. There's a regular classroom, a science room, a music room, a gym/locker room, a library on top, and an office in the basement.

Ray's house just has a bunch of misc. shops/businesses, don't really know what to call it. There's a bowling alley, a movie theater, a farmer's market, a planetarium, and a bar, with a courtyard in the main room to tie everything together.

Very interesting...

This somewhat relates to this, but I myself have a question. Are villagers more likely to move away if you have a player character that goes unused more often? The reason I ask because (in theory at least) villagers are supposedly more likely to ask to move when ignored, I don't want something to go wrong and my favorite villagers move out unannounced or something because I forget to play as a character for the day. I'm probably being a bit paranoid, but I don't want to lose any of my permanent residents over it. Mainly want to know so I can go ahead and start creating these alternate buildings.

i like seeing these, 'mall esque' homes. i personally don't since my town isn't themed or anything like that, but i appreciate them. my alternates have their own special homes.

i haven't noticed my villagers leaving more due to my other characters being played less, i have one that never plays and another that will very rarely speak with villagers, and my final alternate actually goes around and does stuff. but i've wondered if it matters.

I have three alts and I have them to do the themes I can't at my own house. I also like creating tiny stories about them so I find it really fun :)

I made an alt for paths. He's Broni Friendzoni lol. His house has the common wall+floor (though I may change that), sloppy furniture, two computers, and a fedora chair. I'm probably going to add more, maybe divide his house into "rooms" with screens or something.

I have my second character as a shop and cafe.

For future alternate characters I'm going to have a bed and breakfast and probably a hotel

other than my mayor, all my characters houses have themes! :)

there's a schoolhouse, japanese style inn/ryokan, and I'm working on a movie studio-esque house atm!

I use all four players available to have houses with different themes! My mayor's home is my main house, and the other characters I used for my zen castle, modern hangout, and forest home.

I use one of my alts as an ocean-themed hotel. I've been filling it with stuff with the Island and other fish/ocean related stuff. :) I plan to make another alt that's kid/toy themed. I'm pretty excited about that because I love the pastel colors of the refurbished Kiddie set.

I never thought of using alt character houses as PWP things, but that is an insanely cute idea. I especially like the library idea. My current alts are based on two of my original characters, so their houses aren't themed specifically for anything, but I do sort of use them for storage sometimes. Mostly though I try to design a house I think the character would live in.
