Upset with the new update?

Am I the only one that's upset with the new update? I mean don't get me wrong I really like all the new features but I feel like they should have spent a few years making a beautiful new game for the new 3ds or the wii u rather than adding say 20-30 new features to a nearly 4 year old game, I think they should have left new leaf alone honestly

(And I hate that obnoxious red banner under the logo omg)

I don't think it was that hard to make this update. I'm also sure that there's already a whole different team working on a new Animal Crossing game. I'm actually really glad they did this! Makes the game so much better! And it gives me hope for other nintendo games down the line with major updates after a while.

I like the update! You have to remember that they released HHD last year, so we weren't going to get a new one right away. I'm sure they are working on one now.

I haven't played ACNL in months and I'll probably pick it up again today, so I personally think an update was very much needed. I just hope that it isn't getting in the way of making a new game (not a counting spin-offs).

The only thing I don't like about the update is being unable to plot reset amiibo villagers.

I'm pretty sure this update is just to spice up fans while they work for a Switch release.

The red banner is hideous! A really poor design choice, it clashes with the main logo...it really does look awful. I hate how the new camper site is actually part of your map! I thought it would go somewhere on main street :/ Like I wish it was smaller to be honest, like does the ramp need to be that big??

If you haven't seen it elsewhere, it's confirmed that you *can* plot reset. It just can be a struggle. But it always could be, a friend of mine once plot reset a single villager for two days straight.

I think if they're going to make a new animal crossing they're going to make it on a new system. they're saving all there big goodies for the switch now. this patch was just a reason to get people to buy amiibo/cards since the wiiu AND wiiu animal crossing games didn't sell but 3ds and new leaf did.

You CAN plot reset amiibo villagers. I made whole post about this last night on this forum. lol.

I think we can all agree on this, lol. I usually just skip through that screen as quickly as possible so it doesn't bother me much, though.

I'm an anti-Amiibo person, but they've not stripped features from the game, so... meh.

Amiibo cards are making it so easy just to place your dreamies in your town.

The ramp looks pretty ugly from the bottom with just the wood, they could've added maybe some flowers, bushes, clovers on it.
I just feel like some things are not very thought-through.

I don't think it's a bad thing. I hope there's another update with Dictator Mode which allows you to choose where your villagers plot without having to plot reset.

I personally LOVE the way the ramp looks because I have a forest town and I think it goes fairly well with it.

Only thing I don't like about the update is that all of the new items seem to be unorderable out of the catalog
Like I get it for the special items. You know, hello kitty, zelda, splatoon, etc. But even normal things like rice balls?

That's a ton of fairly normal items to just weirdly cut off like that.
