I just updated my dream address and I'm looking for feedback. I realize esthetics are subjective, but I'd love to hear feedback on PWPs, flowers, and home interiors. Aisling's house is done, Trent, Daria, and Jane's houses are WiP. I'm undecided if I want to add additional rooms or build all three up to the size of Jane's house (or should I add left and right rooms for Jane and the rest?).

DA is in my signature. Thanks!

I might check in a little bit if I remember to check. For the time being I have other things to do.

Alright, first off, Rosie said that you deserve to live in such a good mansion. :p

In the main room, I like the placement of the brewstoids, and the posters on the wall are good. The wall and floor go great together, and I love how the minimalist set is wrapped around the TV. So cozy! The refrigerator is storage, lol!
The left room is very comfortable, and the music is great! I don't get why you turned the mannequin in that direction, though. The storage thingy next to the bed said, "This is loaded with old memories!" What do you put there?
The room in the back... what set is that? Also, the dresser said, what is seen can not be unseen. You have interesting stuff there, I guess. I like the instruments, but the Cello can not be played. I like how it all matches.
The right room is cool, though I was blind behind those bookshelves. What did I sit (or lay or something else) on back there? It has a nice library theme (if that is what you were aiming for)
The top room looks very nice, but I want to read Rosie's picture! Stupid Master Sword. :( It won't let me climb the storage stair things.
Finally, the bottom room! It looks awesome and nature-y and stuff! Nice kitty (and the kitty in the main room)!
Although I think that there should be music in every room, don't forget to go to KK every Saturday!

Your house is surrounded by black tulips...
(how long did that take)
BTW, not doing the other houses because someone is too lazy (COUGHCOUGHmeCOUGHCOUGH)

I like the placement of the campsite- close to where you need to go, so you don't have to go out of your way to see someone new. The orange roses surrounding the hibiscuses look awesome (one is missing in back :() The stone tablet thingy looks coll so close to them. And the flower arch so close to it. The garbage can is NOT something I would recommend- take it away! It MAJORLY takes away points for perfect town in TWO CATEGORIES... I did see Jacobs ladders but still be careful there. There are other trash cans in this game, so I would not keep it. The police station is neatly placed, and it had the guy who would ACTUALLY catch a criminal! (No offense classic station, LOL! :p) Next to the train station, the kitty thingy is adorable! Was Tobby a cat you had? Also, I love the arc of houses that is on the southern river bend. Patty and Lopez are missing out. I have Patty as well! She is the only one we share thoughz!

I'll just be taking this golden rose...
LOL JK! I'll leave it where it is!

BTW... WHAT IS THE BLACK ROTATY THINGY NEXT TO TOWN HALL AND HOW DO YOU GET IT??????

Hi! I'm visiting you DA now!

First off you've got some villagers I haven't seen before, so it was neat to see some new faces along with some I have seen before. Your plaza area was nice. I noticed you have some rain gear laid out I guess your last update was rainy. I like your use of bushes to line paths. I couldn't really do that in my town the way things were set up. I like your paths a lot I feel they go together and add to the overall effect you are aiming for.

Some areas have flowers that are a bit randomly placed it seems, but I know flower breeding is a pain. I know the struggle. You've got a good map, some things I want when I reset my cycling are the way your tree plaza is in the bottom kind of in the middle and the front facing beach slope.

This is probably my favorite little area you've constructed:
Beautiful area.JPG
Very nicely done!

I also went inside your mayor's house I know you said the other's were a WIP, but I liked your house overall. I really liked how you meshed several sets together in different ways to create themed rooms. That was really nice and creative. I really liked this room:

I have Rosie in my town so this dialog was humorous to me:

Overall you have a very nice town. I guess if I could change one thing it would be the placement of your bridge at the top by the Police station. I would move it down some I feel like there's a big gap between that one and the next bridge or maybe you could move another bridge over some so there's not such a huge gap I guess. If that'd make your life complicated you don't have to. After all you're the one who has to play in this town each day. It was a lovely town and I enjoyed visiting.

I like that grassy pattern, and the stairs. The fountain with the blue and pink hydrandeas is gorgeous.Your houses are nicely decorated.Very nice town.

My response to MoeTheCatFan's feedback:
I don't get why you turned the mannequin in that direction, though. The storage thingy next to the bed said, "This is loaded with old memories!" What do you put there?
If I have the mannequin facing "front" it ends up looking at the hydrangea bed, I turned it toward the bathtub and vanity like a little area to change clothes and get all princess pretty. Thinking of changing the outfit though... I do like to have a different scene based on which way your camera is turned in the room. If you stand at the back and turn the camera looking forward, I have different vignettes displayed. So there should be something to see on a 360 spin of the room.

I mean, I could tell you what's in that closet but a lady keeps her secrets. ;)

The room in the back... what set is that? Also, the dresser said, what is seen can not be unseen. You have interesting stuff there, I guess. I like the instruments, but the Cello can not be played. I like how it all matches.
That's the gorgeous set. Yeah, I tend to have a problem with pack-rat-itus. I like to cram way too much into a space. I'm like that in RL too, though. I can lose the gorgeous stool and that will make the bass accessible to play, but then I lose the weight of the furniture in that section. Hmm...

The right room is cool, though I was blind behind those bookshelves. What did I sit (or lay or something else) on back there? It has a nice library theme (if that is what you were aiming for)
That's my hidden secret room. It's one of those spin the camera 360 degrees to see what's backt here. There's the matching Rococo bed and other pieces. And yes, I wanted it to be a cozy library... with a secret.

The top room looks very nice, but I want to read Rosie's picture! Stupid Master Sword. :( It won't let me climb the storage stair things.
Here again, either I lose the sword and I have extra space or the pics are inaccessible. I'm not sure how to rearrange that area to fit all the stuff I want to fit in that room.

Finally, the bottom room! It looks awesome and nature-y and stuff! Nice kitty (and the kitty in the main room)!
Although I think that there should be music in every room, don't forget to go to KK every Saturday!
I thought about having music. I'm sort of torn between the zen rhythms of the gyroids in that space or having a music background.

Your house is surrounded by black tulips...
(how long did that take)
Not as long as you'd think. You obviously didn't see my beach. Black tulips grow like weeds in my town. Black roses too.

BTW, not doing the other houses because someone is too lazy (COUGHCOUGHmeCOUGHCOUGH)
Haha, fair enough.

The garbage can is NOT something I would recommend- take it away! It MAJORLY takes away points for perfect town in TWO CATEGORIES... I did see Jacobs ladders but still be careful there. There are other trash cans in this game, so I would not keep it.
That's actually a good idea. I had it because I'm lazy and don't want to have to run home if I end up with trash, but I end up with trash so rarely that it's not really being useful. And I tried to hide it behind the tree which sort of kind of works, but it's still an eyesore.

Next to the train station, the kitty thingy is adorable! Was Tobby a cat you had?
Not long after I got the game my kitty got very ill and had to be put to sleep. I wanted a memorial to her somewhere, and I figured what better way to let mher memory live on than in animal crossing. It's also one of the first "real" designs I made, and I'm pretty proud of the shading.

BTW... WHAT IS THE BLACK ROTATY THINGY NEXT TO TOWN HALL AND HOW DO YOU GET IT??????
Cube sculpture! A smug (Lopez for me) will recommend it. I love it. It's the reason I made my town hall and police station (and eventually my train station) modern in style. I like how slick it looked.

Overall I love it, and if I didn't I mentioned it somewhere in there! LOL I hope it isn't too long!
Aww thank you! I really appreciate the suggestions. I'm definitely going to get rid of the trash can, it isn't serving any super useful purpose. When I had the bell boom in effect it was great because I could dispose of the boots and tires easily, but I've had the beautiful ordinance in effect (and I have so many flowers) that I'm unlikely to need it. I'm also going to play with some of the inaccessible items in my house and see if I can edit my rooms better. :D

Thank you! All but the matching cobblestone pattern I did. I've slowly trying to make my patterns a little classier. I'm no pixel artist, but I'm pretty happy with the paths as they stand now. And yes, I forgot about the rain gear. The last update was rainy and I just left that stuff there and forgot about it. I'll clean that up. :)

Some areas have flowers that are a bit randomly placed it seems, but I know flower breeding is a pain. I know the struggle. You've got a good map, some things I want when I reset my cycling are the way your tree plaza is in the bottom kind of in the middle and the front facing beach slope.
That one of the things I'm unsure of. I know I need to majorly edit my flowers, I'm just not 100% sure what direction I want to go with them. I really like the look of formal flower patterns that are super symmetrical but at the same time I also like the sort of wildflower feel. I'm torn. But I do know I'm overrun with flowers. And I swear everytime I look a villager is watering them or planting more. *sigh*

This is probably my favorite little area you've constructed:
Very nicely done!
Thank you! I actually just finished getting that area finished. I had the gist of of it on the side where the zen garden and hot spring are now, and those PWP's were on the side with the fountain, but the pond was messing up my effect.

I also went inside your mayor's house I know you said the other's were a WIP, but I liked your house overall. I really liked how you meshed several sets together in different ways to create themed rooms. That was really nice and creative. I really liked this room:
That's my favorite spot too. I like that it's a secret room and unless you spin the camera, it's easy to over look.

I have Rosie in my town so this dialog was humorous to me:

At this point, I have my running paths down fairly pat. The central bridge by my house was the original bridge. I thought about moving it so it bridge the area between Sly and Blaire's houses but I've been playing with this layout for nearly a year, at this point, it's habit to run certain directions.

It was a lovely town and I enjoyed visiting.
Thank you! I appreciate the feedback! I'll definitely look into organizing my flowers more. Maybe I'll leave the area by Stonehenge wild and groom the areas around the more formal PWP's to be clearer. :D

And thank you The Great Brain! I appreciate the response!

I must say, I LOVE your paths. It looks like you did them yourself, and that's VERY impressive! The mossy texture and the green/white palette is a favorite of mine c: You have a lot of cool winding paths, and a lot of good points of interest. If there's one thing you could do though, it would maybe be straightening up the area to the left of the plaza. It's got a nice vibe to it, but it's a little messy because the flowers are kinda unsorted and the bamboo takes up a lot of the space. If you were to cut down a few of the ones in the center and add some of the grey brick path patterns to that area, it'd feel more open and more like a zen garden.

I also love Aisling's house, all the rooms are well-put together, and are consistent in theme. I'm not sure about the flooring in the left room, but it's a good house overall c: It's a wonderful dream, and I'm glad I got the chance to visit!

I just visited - I really like your town! My favourite area, like others in this thread, was the one with topiaries and the statue fountain. Your path is also very nice. Overall you have a lovely town. :)

Thank you! I had a QR brick path originally, but the more I saw of other people's paths and self made QR codes, the more I realized I wanted to tweak it. So I made the mossy path. And that way I can copy it and change the look for each season.

Fantastic suggestion! I laid pathing around the zen garden, hot spring and Lopez's house, cut down several bamboo stalks, removed a couple, and it does look so much more open and more together as a little scene. I'm going to play with that area some more. And now that I freed up a PWP by getting rid of the trash, maybe I can add something else over there...

The wood floor in the princess/flower room? Yeah. Originally I had the princess wall and floor and it felt way too twee. I really like the wallpaper in that room with that set, it feels like a mural that works with the weeding day furniture especially. But the wildflower or grassy floors just don't work with the princess furniture. I know I like the look of the hardwood floor in there, but there are definitely other wood floors I could try. It does look a little rough board against the expensive looking princess set. I do like that the light colors pop against the darker floor, they seemed to get lost on the pastel matchy-matchy princess floor or tiles. I'll play with that some. Thank you for the input!

you have a nice town. i love your main room.

Thank you both!
