My friend just got Animal Crossing, and we want to help each other out by going to each others' towns to boost our visitors count (we both really want train station remodels).

But...he has a new town, so he only has 6 villagers right now. I'm concerned my old villagers that have moved out in the past few weeks, will end up moving to his town...despite the fact that they have never met. My friend absolutely hated these villagers, as did I, so I'm scared to wifi anytime soon until his town is finally full.

But am I concerned about nothing? If I never speak to his villagers, and he never speaks to mine. Is there no chance that they will move to each others' towns because they've never been introduced/met?

I ask because I have wifi-ed a lot with a lot of folks, but the only villagers I've received from foreign towns: I've talked to these villagers at least once.

Final note, neither of us TT, so villagers do not rapidly move in and out of our towns.

From what I know you'll have to talk to them for them to move. All three of my transfer characters are ones that have been spoken to (Not on moving day, just on a normal day) so it should be fine!

I was wondering why I haven't gotten a 10th villager yet considering how often I trade online. But just to be just sure, this hasn't happened to anyone?

I don't think that's necessarily the case. I visited my brother's town without talking to one of his packed up villagers and I still got him. I didn't even know at that time that someone was moving out when I visited.

*facepalm* Well, that answers that question. I guess I shouldn't wifi until he has at least 9 characters.

I got Moose from Gizmodo and I'd never even visited his town - but he had visited mine. :p

I played with my cousin alot and pretty much every villager I got was from her town and vise versa.
I had to stop playing with her until I had 10 villagers

You're still not forgiven yet. Do you have any idea how many hours of back & forth TT'ing it took for me to get rid of him!? D;

I'm not really mad. :p

Im just crossing my fingers that Tiffany doesnt decide to turn up in my new town as revenge from you :p

Sorry I'm kinda new to this villager thing, altho I've played all Animal Crossings but, I want to know.

My friend's favorite villager accidently moved out, and ended in my town. Is it possible for him to move back in her town? And also, by villager trade, I suppose you mean when the villager is packing, you talk to them to invite them to your town?
Will it work for my friend who wants her villager back?

It won't work, unfortunately. You can't have the same villager in your town again so soon.

The current belief is that you'll need to have approx 16 other villagers leave after that particular villager has left before you can have them in your town again - but I don't know whether or not anyone has tested that to prove whether or not it's true/false.

I never spoke to one of my villagers before they moved to my town. In fact, I didn't even know my friend had that villager. Yet they still decided to just show up unannounced in my town and move in. :(
