Unpopular opinion: "realistic" looking clothing in acnh looks a lot weirder than it did in new leaf

Yall know what I'm talking about the bikinis crop tops basically clothes that show skin. In new leaf while it looked realistic it still looked flat and cartoony meanwhile in acnh it's so realistic that it looks inappropriate.

I don't particularly remember there being a lot of showy clothes in NL, other than custom designs, which were flat and cartoony by nature (which worked out on the 3DS' small screen). I do think NH takes a more realistic approach in general, including its modern real-life clothes, where NL felt closer to fantasy.

If anything, I think the crop tops and stuff are weird because the human characters' torsos are shaped like beans with few anatomical characteristics, so the way the shirts hang is awkward (especially since there aren't high-rise pants which crop tops are often worn with). And we aren't used to seeing them bare. NL's shirts, dresses, etc were almost all the same shape, and you couldn't have varying lengths, necklines, etc.

I dont mind the crop tops on human players but on animals you get... Well scroll up XD

I have no issue with it. In fact, I find it amusing and funny to see the clothing on villagers and our potato bodies.

I'm not a huge fan of it on human players but I honestly find it amazing on the villagers, look at them all go living their best lives

I actually don't mind much how they look and find several amusing on the villagers, what clothing i do hate is the masks that are human shaped and not modified for our odd head shape. the fox mask looks so weird and is a big disappointment

Yeah..I was disappointed in the jester mask. I used to wear it all the time in new leaf but in NH it looks weird..and the post IP eye patch looks funny too.
