Logged on to my spare town to pick up perfect fruit and Isabelle said someone is moving.

I started the town 3 years ago and kept all the players in a tent. They never spoke to the villagers and the mayor never sat in the mayor chair. For three years all 10 villagers have stayed in the same spot and never moved.

The town got the update and 7 days later I get the news that a villager is moving out. Thanks Nintendo.

Has anyone stopped a mover since the update started and than jumped ahead months? If so did anyone move?
With the problems I'm having I worried about freezing a town and than making a huge jump only to find out I lost a villager. Wish Nintendo gave you the option of yes or no for the new stuff. Pick no and you still get to visit another town. Not Happy right now.

I wondered about you & how things were going.
The only advice I have is do you need to jump ahead - given from what you say, Nintendo have changed the 'rules' somewhat in what makes a villager leave.
With several towns, I manage gameplay by freezing time, using the 3ds system clock. ie I don't jump ahead.

I'm bogged down with trying to get the update down into sev towns, and have paid less attention to the boards, but in the back of my mind I think I've seen a post where the advice was to stop using Isabelle to change time & use the system instead - and I can't remember why or what board, and there are a sea of posts since the update.
Sorry not much help, plus I don't think what I am remembering has anything to do with villagers leaving - I just can't remember.

After reading this, I'm just curious to ask: What were you doing in such a town for three years? You didn't make friends, didn't decorate houses, didn't pay loans, didn't do any mayor work... so what? I can't feel sorry for you when apparently there's nothing to feel sorry about. Why do you care if a villager left? You weren't friends, and if someone new appears, clearly it won't spoil any PWP because you made none...

New villagers are going to ruin 250 plus perfect orange trees. I was using the town to grow fruit and weeds for my Real Towns. For 3 long years the villagers have stayed in place and now they can leave because of the Update. I have 4 Real Towns and my real mayors/players drop by and talk to the villagers all the time. PWP take up space that could grow more tree or weeds.
