so i thought i'm not getting a heavy meteor shower, but thanks to meteonook & after finding my seed, turns out that it's ALL happening during cancer season. yes 3 heavy meteor showers happening close to each other , except the last meteor shower of the year that will happen on my birthday (september/virgo).

is it normally like this for everyone?
seriously this is messy because if it wasn't for meteonook, i'm gonna get STACKS of cancer fragments and probably only 2-4 of the others. at least i'd get decent virgo fragments. and for the other fragments, i'll rely on the schedule of light showers. it's cool though, i know the game sticks to RNG but thankfully we have these tools to help us if we have a certain zodiac furniture that we want to craft.

Yes, I have had the same experience. During Taurus season, I only had one meteor shower, and from that got only one Taurus fragment. Then I had something ridiculous like four Gemini showers (all in rapid succession), and already I've had three Cancer showers.

I think I would prefer it if we were guaranteed to get at least two showers per astrological period, or if one would automatically trigger after two weeks (if RNG hadn't caused one by then).

It really is a bummer that we don't have a garanteed shower per zodiac season

there are a lot of elements to this game that you probably wouldn't be able to complete without time traveling, datamining, or trading online (art in the museum, for instance). i'm not sure if that really is a pro or con, because there are so many different ways of playing and as someone who does time travel, uses datamining resources, and trades online, that means there is still an element of difficulty/interest to the game while i'm finishing things.

still, it would be incredibly hard to "complete" animal crossing without using a lot of these tools, and you would likely miss out on a lot of opportunities just because of RNG. so i dunno. if it was easier i would get bored faster, but for folks who play differently from me, it makes a lot of stuff impossible!

i also have a pretty lousy seed for 2020 so i'll be going to other islands for some fragments (or just spamming light showers and hoping for the best).

wait that's weird that it's exactly that the taurus frag was the fragment i had trouble getting. literally i just realized i didn't have even ONE when i was looking at my diy's and couldn't craft it. i had to go here and nookazon to buy them!

this is so true though... and i'm not even sure if it's a pro or con as well! after you said that, i had to think about how different your game experience would be if you played it without guides, or even someone telling you what to do (a friend, or a sibling). i feel like at first you think it's gonna be a sims type of game, where it's pretty self explanatory, but the RNG nature of the game really makes some elements of it so unpredictable.

i think at the end of the day, it really is playing on your way. because even if you try to search resources or trade online, it'll STILL be always about what you want or where your interest is. like let's say if you're interested about a certain furniture set, then you'll trade for it online.

i'm not sure if i'll be able to go to islands just for fragments so maybe i'll just spam them and use the meteonook schedule. it's so hard to catch them before because light showers are like actually happening during scattered times, you're not certainly gonna be able to catch them before unless you play all night.

I haven't seen a shower in ages and have never had one offically announced. I was unable to get any taurus or gemini at all and so far no cancer parts. Sucks because I love the space themed items. :(

My seed shows me that I have 11-13 light showers a month and 0-1 heavy showers. About the heavy ones I knew but I only managed to find 2 light showers in total, when I could have had around 30.. I am really grateful for meteonook^^

I've got 3 heavy showers this month alone. It works out because my favorite zodiac piece is the cancer table. Also, my sign is cancer, so there's that.

My pattern is very evenly distributed, at least one heavy meteor shower each month except December, which has 8 light showers. My skimpiest months are February and July, with 4 and 5 light showers and one heavy.

Today will be my THIRD shower for the cancer season and I’m like: WHAT?!

For Aries and Taurus, I had one shower. I never got a shower from the Gemini that I had to go over to a person here on the forum that was hosting a meteor shower event.
