Ultimate Dream Town Tourney---Main Board Chat​

Hi guys, we've finally done it! Round 1 of the UDTT is over, but the competition still has a long way to go.

We'll be using this board as a sort of home for the contest, in the coming weeks feel free to ask questions on this board instead of PMing me, as it makes it a lot easier. Also, look forward to updates as well as and any possible help you need with changing dream addresses or schedules for when Round 2 starts.

And of course chat about the contest.

To make sure I know that you received my results PM, so you know that you're moving on to Round 2, I would love if all the winners would post here.

If for any reason you don't know, or you just want to go back and look at your specific poll, I'll make a link to everyone's in the spoiler tab below. Just look through all the towns for yours. Winners are in bold.

If you didn't already check, the posted date for when Round 2 will begin is November 8th. This means you guys have a fair amount of time to get your town's into even better shape.

If, however, most of you want to extend the date it could be done.

Do we really need two weeks until the next polls? Shouldn't the towns already be in shape? There has even been so much time to improve since round 1 started, if needed. This contest is taking so long anyway... ;P

FYI, a lot of people requested more time before Round 1 even started.

I'm sorry if you want the contest to move faster but you have to remember this is extremely tiring on me. I have a lot of other responsibilities, and would like to take a break for a while.

If people would really like it could be shortened to to 1 week, but I doubt anyone would want less time, what's the hurry?

I also wouldn't mind if the contest sped up a little because interest in this contest seems to be dwindling each day. Each town got less and less visits each time. My town (the last to be voted on) only got 2 visitors. Pokemon is keeping people busy maybe? *but* not my contest, not up to me. I'm happy we're having this contest,period.

I've kind of expected interest to peak, because overall the forum is declining in active users as well. Even the Villager Trading Plaza isn't as fast as it used to be. I noticed that decline in voters too.

But yeah, if more people want it sooner I can try and make it happen but it will be a hassle with so much school, sports practice, clubs, and work in the coming weeks.

And hmm, is there perhaps someone who could share the contest postings with you? So you could post some/and keep an eye on some of the rounds and they do so for the others? Just a suggestion, don't know if that would work aha

Congratulations to all the winners of round one! Although I wasn't able to vote for all of you, I know you all deserved to win. And thank you in-a-pickle for all your hard work and being so on top of things. I would have given up after the second or third poll. You're doing an amazing job. I'll try to be a lot more active when visiting dream towns and voting on the polls. Sometimes I just don't notice/forget about it.

Sounds great! Round 2 might be coming sooner too, if the majority of people want it on November 9th instead.

Yay! Congrats to all the winners! It was great to get up every day knowing I had new towns to visit. I love that contest!

I don't mind about the dates although it's true less and less people voted as it went on... So, if it's not too much trouble for you in-a-pickle, it would be nice to start round 2 on the 9th.

Thanks! I do wonder if there's a way to spark more interest, I could post about the contest on my blog but I'd probably need more followers to gather support.

Just make a big announcement a day before round 2 starts, to let everyone know the voting will start again the next day.
Everyone is busy with Pokemon anyway, so I feel like there isn't much activity on this forum.
But a lot of people will play a little less Pokemon after beating the Elite Four and go back to AC again so maybe activity will pick up again.

Anyway, either way is fine by me.

Yep, I'll totally make a big announcement before Round 2 starts. Just keep on bumping' the board guys! This Friday is probably the new start date.
