I just walked into Skye's home to see she has a desk lamp sitting on her table. My Re-Tail is completely 'full' and I haven't gifted it. So.. where the heck did this lamp come from? The only thing I can think of is she got it from an item being 'returned' by another villager.. but I'm not even sure if villagers can do that!

This happened to me too. Most probably delivery return?
I guess if they can display clothes out of nowhere, they can with furniture too.

This is my best guess as well.. it's just I don't remember returning anything to Skye recently that was a furniture item.

Could have happened when villagers speak together. I know they will swap clothing, so possibly they can gift furniture.

or another villager probably gifted her something (in this case, furniture) when she asked you to fetch that villager and accompanied to her home.
