uhh uhh uhh??? villager moving?

I was TT'ing out villagers I disliked and so I had 8 villagers.. I walk around and Poppy pinged me to move althoguh I only have 8 villagers?

Is this possible I thought villagers ping to move if I have 9 or 10 villagers?

I think villagers can ask to move no matter how many villagers you have. It's just that you'll get more random move ins to replace the personality of the villager you're missing in your town.

Maybe there's a new villager plot somewhere? They can ping you when there's 8 villagers and someone new is moving in.

My sister's got this, she's constantly on 8. It's actually glitched her game real bad. She doesn't have move-ins for like 2 weeks.

I've had people ask to move out when I've only had 8 residents too.
