"Ugly" villagers in a perfect town

i spent hours resetting yesterday to get the map i wanted and none of my starter villagers are cute. flo is moving in tomorrow and she's not cute either. have you ever dealt with this? is it possible for any cuties to ever move in?!

There are 333 villagers in the game, odds are you won't get villagers you like at the start. That's why you trade for the ones you want lol

Alternatively, the day after you build the campsite, there will be a guaranteed camper in your town if you want to try your luck at resetting for a decent villager.

It's definitely possible for some cuties to move in, but i've never moved any in the legit way from the campsite or got them as a random. Except Marshal and Chrissy that is. I usually buy my dreamies from users on here, as it means a guaranteed move in and it lets me know exactly when I should start plot resetting for them. Usually when I first start the game, it's a pretty low chance i'll get one of my dreamies, and if I do they'll be in a horrible place on a horrible map. Or where I want to put my house. It's not necessarily a bad thing, that you don't have any dreamies moving in because then you run less of the risk of having dreamies put their houses where you want to put paths and etc. I think it's a good thing that you don't have any moving in at the moment.

Although with the whole flo thing, I actually think she's quite cute for a penguin tbh.

Yep. I got my perfect map and hated every single villager in my town. So I spent the first few days (real time, several weeks in-game time) moving people out and getting in dreamies and plot resetting. I still have a few I dislike, but they don't bother me as much as some of the others did. And one of them, Big Top, has even sort of grown on me.

As for getting my cuties to move in, I use my second cycling town. I cycle until I have a villager I want in my main town, then send the mayor of my main town to pick him or her up. I very rarely get a villager I want the natural way. Though I did get Francine through my town's campsite, which was pretty cool.

Easy to get a lot of dreamies in a short amount of time? Not even close, lol. Have you ever done it before? The villager you get is random every time, and if by chance you do get lucky and find a dreamie, you have to get lucky again with their house being in a decent spot.

If you have a specific set of 10 villagers in mind then yes. But even then they reset by personality so it's not like you're actually working with 1/300+ odds. If there are a lot of villagers you like then you can get a town full in no time.

I villager reset for a specific set of 8 villagers (one of each personality) in the summer and it took maybe a day and a half.

ugly villagers is not a problem if your town map is perfect, you can get pretty villagers with plot reset or from people in this forum. It is very easy.
