A couple of days ago Biskit moved into my town. I guess he wasn't quite a dreamy but at some point i did want to have him. The problem is, he has the same personality as Benedict (which is lazy if you didn't know). Benedict has been there from the beginning and i'm not ashamed to say, i see him as a little brother. When i got a letter from both of them..the magic went because they say the exactly the same thing...but it makes more sense coming from a dog, I love dogs. Biskit has just asked me could he move out...and i'm so stuck i can't even. I know they are just AI i just wish Nintendo thought about tweaking the animals so they can have their own sayings not just something from their personality repeated, It ruins things. We need 10 villagers...we are bound to have repeat personalities...why can't they have their own things? I know nothing is completely the same but what they say is...i'm going to deny him for now...i think, get my head clear. I guess this is just a rant or a discussion.

I know how that is.. it really stinks. In my old town, I had Lucky. He was my only lazy, and I adored how he acted and everything. Stitches moved in and I quickly fell in love with his design. The only thing was.. After talking to Lucky, Stitches would say the exact same thing... I felt a little... disappointed by this..? I agree with you, and I really wish that Nintendo changed what each villager said by maybe a tiny bit?
I couldn't bare to part with either of my villagers, so I just kept them both. But it did bother me a little bit... :\

If only there were 10 personalities instead of 8, then there would be so much less of the duplicate conversations...

...I've learned my lesson - if I talk to one personality type in one town, don't go right away to a different villager of the same personality type. It makes you have feelings against them if you know what i mean

I had Benedict once and I like him a lot. I know how disappointing it is when you have two or more villagers who say the same things. I had two crankies close together one day and I talked to them back-to-back. They said the exact same thing. Sometimes I'll get identical letters in the mail. It's too bad there's not more dialog in the game. I wish the villagers all had a mix of two personalities, with one being dominant. For example: A lazy who once in a while says things a smug would say. They could mix and match every personality type.

Been hre before i use to have Derwin i was like "Look at the cute duck he drowns sin flowers cause he's so small" but he kept getting sick then i realised he said the same stuff as Benedict i was like "nah you gotta go".

I'm sure there are more personalities in the world than just 8. It sucks. I have a bone to pick with Nintendo anyway lol this just adds to the list. But yeah i get what you mean it happened with Derwin like i mentioned above. It ruins it.

Benedict is cute i cant imagine giving him up...but yeah..i got a letter from Biskit then Benedict back t back andd yep...same letter. It takes the magic out of it. You cant pretend they are twins because they are different animals. I feel y'alls pain. Also, that's a real good idea. Just...something else to spice stuff up would be nice.

That's interesting. I never even thought about any of this. It doesn't bother me to have repeat conversations or letters. Even though the villagers have certain personalities that may lend themselves to repetition, I still see each one as an individual. I have four peppies in one of my towns and they all say the most random, individual nutter stuff.

Mm..i'm the type to skim if bored but even at the corner of my eye i notice things. I guess...its a littler different lets say if a Snooty moved out yet one moved in gave you the same letters as the other did. To me that's fine cause theres a sense of replacement (specially if you find them better) but having them back to back is just crushing to me. Maybe i'm being over dramatic.

Same here. I never have issues with having more than one of the same personality in my village. Usually it's when I have more than one species or a bunch of double species that it seems too repetitive. Like if I have two wolves it's fine, but if I have two wolves, two cats, and two tigers, ehhhh, it's too much and there's usually one that I end up liking a lot less as a result.

I can see how that would be worse o.o

I understand the frustration of having multiple villagers of the same personality types, I had 3 snooties once...I love them but it was getting so repetitive.

I kinda feel like this because I have a lot of normals in my town, they're adorable but it does get a bit annoying when they all say the same thing - I usually talk to one or two each time I play, and pop on a couple of times a day so I can check everyone - then it breaks it up a bit :)
