Two villagers moving in question

I recently went to someone else's town to acquire one of their villagers who was moving out (Poncho). A day later, I had a villager in my camp site and got them to move in my town as well (Drago). Now Drago has a plot reserved, but Poncho still hasn't shown up. Does this mean Poncho is no longer moving in? Anyone else have this happen I had 8 villagers in my town when I went to get Poncho.

You can only have one villager moving in at a time, so drago's overwrote poncho I'm afraid

Darn it! Of course Poncho is the one I wanted :-(. Thanks for your help! Just to make sure though, Drago will move in tomorrow and be unpacking. Can I go get a villager from someone else's town safely then? I'm assuming yes, but want to make sure!
