Ugh this is extremely frustrating considering how in my TT town I really need to trade some villagers. But it's twice in a row that two different villagers told me they were moving and got mad that I was letting go and called it off. RUDE!

I hate when that happens! They say that they should stay for weird reasons...such as "you should get to know me better" or something like that. :( I really wish they would move right then and there, not call it off!

I had that happen twice for me with Phoebe. The first time I said "who are you?" and she was like, "oh, we should become better friends then!" and the second time she said the same thing, so I chose the other option "don't go!" and she was like "oh, okay, I'll stay!"

:(

The last time she did that, I reset and I got a different dialogue where I could actually convince her to go. Thank goodness.

Never speak to the villagers you want to leave. Ever. If they want to move out your OTHER villagers will let you know. Once you find out somebody you want gone is leaving just leave them be so they move out 100% guaranteed. Talking to them gives you a chance they will NOT move out, so to be safe you avoid talking to them altogether.

This never happens to me because I talk and do stuff for villagers I want out because then they feel satisfied with your relationship with them and will want to move to get new experiences

If this happens, and you really don't like them. RESET!

They'll forget the conversation and will still move if you just never talk to them again. This happened to me and Ed. When he asked to move, I said to go away and he called the move off. I reseted, NEVER spoke to him now that I knew he was going to move, and he ended up leaving a day later. C:

Hm.. That bold and large text reminds me of someone who has told me the exact opposite of your advice that you've given Beanie.
Now SCRAM!

I always thought the same thing hahah
I love Mr. Resetti XD
He's the most hilarious character that I've ever hated to see

I always hated him, but now I'm actually thinking about building the Reset center, just so i can hate seeing him again.

I think this was Nintendo's plan......

I know how you feel, I'm funding my PWP for it already haha.
Also, somehow convincing you to pay in-game currency for something that you have always hated?
That's evil, Nintendo. Like if you had to pay rupees in a Zelda game to have to do the water temple.

Resetti can judge me all he wants. I don't TT, so when some horrible villager is moving, It'll take months before they think about moving again. At that point, I am totally willing to reset!

I know exactly what you mean. I don't TT either, and I've got a really ugly villager (Marcel, the clown dog) that I desperately want to get rid of. I had the same problem that Beanie had, where he kept offering to leave but I'd be unlucky enough for him to decide to stay. I've been waiting for several weeks for him to try to leave again, but apparently he's perfectly content sitting directly in front of my house.
I wish I had just reset lol.

i need to do that with o'hare. he will NEVER leave omigosh lol.

i've never had a villager get mad at me for moving, yet xD

Just become friends with all the villagers and they wont?
Also just reset the game when they change their mind and try again, and then save once they commit to moving
