So school is almost out for me (not really, a little over a month...) and I want to get an Animal Crossing town soon. And I also want to get a Tumblr for it.
So here's my question: should I start my Tumblr today and wait till May to actually get my town, or wait later in May to get it but with less time?
The good thing about getting one now would be that I could just put the link in my signature so I could get followers in advance. The bad thing about it, though, would be that people might get bored and unfollow if I don't post right away.
I'm not sure what to do. ;~; Plus, our house is for sale right now because we're planning to move somewhere else in the district, so that means I might not even have time to get a town during the first few days in summer because we'll be so busy with our new house.
...And in school, we just started our last Math unit yesterday, and we have a test in two weeks, so that means if I get a Tumblr now it'll be up for over two weeks with reposts (or nothing). But do you think that's okay?
Thank you all soo much with this <3 Answers are very much appreciated!

I would claim the URL you want but otherwise wait to 'release it' to the public? That way you can plan out the appearance and theme of your blog ahead of time and get it set up perfectly before providing a link to it or worrying about losing followers. I think followers would rather have incentive to follow than...well, following a blank blog for a month? If that makes sense. But otherwise yeah, why not just make it now and have it there? It doesn't need to have followers right away, once you start posting and tagging content, they'll come, trust me. :D

I'd say make it now. You could just reblog posts or put a password to get in on it until you're ready.

Yeah just claim the URL now like the others said, because there's no drawback to doing so.

Okay! I'll start it now then ^u^
Is there a way to just get the URL and set it up but not have it viewable, if that makes sense? Or is it once I create it, anyone can look at it?

Just by making the account with the url you want should be fine. I mean, if you don't reblog/post anything anyways, your blog will just be blank and nobody will look at it.
