Tumblr Help

Hey, guys! For those of you that have a Tumblr, could you help me out?

I basically treat my Tumblr blog as my website (it's the most convenient for what I need), and I have a contact page with both the submission and ask boxes on there.

What I'm wondering is whether, when I reply to an ask, will the response go on the contact page, or will it go to the unseen ask page? If not, how would I go about linking them?

when you reply to an ask, if its an anonymous ask, it automatically posts to your blog. if its an ask that shows the sender, you should be able to choose whether the response is public or private.

published asks on tumblr will show up on your regular post feed, as an ask post. for it to be easier to find answered asks you could tag the ask posts (either by installung xkit and the inbox thingy or by editing the ask after publishing it), but it's not like they will be lost as long as your theme supports ask posts and doesn't automatically only show posts with certain tags.

so basically no you don't need to do anything, answers will be published just like any other post.

Thanks! But that's not exactly what I meant. The page I have the ask box on isn't the ask page, so, of course they do get published, but they don't appear on that one page I want them on. They will only appear on the actual ask page.

maybe use tags to make them appear on a /tagged/ page ?
and i don't think they should show up on the ask page but idk maybe your theme is weird

I guess I could, but what I really wanted was for them to appear on the same page as the ask box.

that's a bit tricky i think, i'm not a pro at coding but it seems like a bit of work. i would suggest you but a FAQ on the same page and put a link to your answered ask tag on it.

I guess that could work. Is there any way I could redirect the ask page to the FAQ page?
