TTing In-Game

I've only ever used Karen/IvaPearl's method with the ingame clock. It still works fantastically~

Thank you >^< My main town is starting to become TT free, now that I've finished it, but my biggest problem was my cycling town. It'd be a waste to have to sell it because I couldn't cycle anymore.

So to anyone who's ever tried TTing in-game, is it exactly the same as TTing out of game?[/URL]

I just saw this question, herp derp. o:

Generally speaking, TTing with the ingame clock differs from using the 3DS clock in that you save automatically every time you TT. Because you have to use a pre-existing character to TT ingame. If you use the 3DS clock, you don't have to use a pre-existing character, so nothing saves until you log in as one. This means you can make a new character (which doesn't save until the tent/TPC business is done) to check who's moving/where someone's moving to/what flowers grew/whatever without any consequences.

TTing with the 3DS clock is like TTing with a safety net. If you don't like the results, you don't have to save them.
TTing ingame is the real deal, every time.

But if you only TT to use the Foolproof Cycling Method, then it doesn't matter, since someone will always be moving out or in. xD;

Using the in-game clock is better because you won't get penalized for changing the clock in other games like Pokemon

It depends on what outcome you're trying to achieve through TTing, in my opinion.

For instance, using the ingame clock to do the 7 Day method for resetting for a 9th villager takes like, an hour to set up, and there's a lot of chance for messing it up. Not even kidding. Using the 3DS clock for the same method takes about 30 seconds and is fail proof.
