TT Question

I don't know if there's a specific form to post this, so I'll post it here.

I lost my favorite villager by time-traveling to much. Is there a way to get them back or do I have to wait for the villagers to cycle through?

This is the correct place to post this, you're good. c: You will have to complete the 16-villager cycle before you can get them back, which means 16 more villagers need to move out of your town. :/ You can do that by TTing to move other villagers out or you can wait and let it happen naturally (which will take a while, be warned). But once 16 more villagers have moved out, and the villager you lost no longer appears in your shops on main street, you can get them back.

As gem83 explained, you do need to go through the 16-villager cycle to get them back. If you do choose to TT to do so, just be careful you don't accidentally move out another villager you like in the process.

16 villager cycle as mentioned before is the way to go. There are a bunch of guides online if you want to look for one to help you along there.

Pro tip: Time travelling backwards is always more safe than forwards. If you take a break from playing for a long while, time travel back to the last time you remember playing or if you don't remember, then back as far as you know will be safe for no one moving out.

Don't feel discouraged, the sixteen cycle works perfectly. It just takes patience. And make certain you don't accidentally lose anyone else you want to keep
