tt issues?

so i don’t tt that often, but when i do i always go back to the original date bc that’s just how i like to play. i notice this causes a few problems though ; one time i sent letters to a few of my villagers then i tt’d back a few days and i never got replies. i was kind of confused but i thought maybe they don’t reply everytime or smthn. then the day before yesterday i went to a meteor shower on a diff island and i tt’d back and when i woke up today i didn’t have fragments on my beaches. usually, i expected like it to take an extra day bc that’d what happened with kk slider for me, he was supposed to visit the next day but i tt’d back and he came the day after. i waited 2 days for the fragments but they never showed up! does this happen to anybody else? is there like a rule for tting cause honestly i’m kinda confused w how it works and why certain things like just don’t happen or take an extra day. kinda sux especially when i go out of my way to try to get some fragments and they never show up

You need to move forward a day after the date you traveled to in order to get the items. For example, if you go to the 26th, order an item, then go back to today, you won’t get your order until the 27th. I believe it works the same for things like star fragments

hmm whenever i ordered an item on a tt day and i go back i don’t get it the day after but the second day after, no matter how far i’ve tt’d; that’s kinda why i’m confused abt it

I've tt'd several times for meteor showers, since I was incredibly unlucky and got a world seed that has literally ZERO showers from March until September... But if you wish on stars, you do not get fragments at all if you travel back in time before going forward. Even if you travel past that shower date...

Any flowers you water will become un-watered, will not reproduce if you go backwards.

I don't believe mail delivers if you go back in time before going to the next day. Might be wrong about this, I don't send many letters.

You were correct when you said that items ordered come the day after your original date. If you go to the 26th, order items from the shopping app or Redd, then tt back to today, you'll get the items tomorrow.

I also want to say that going backwards causes something to happen to the inventory of Nook's Cranny? I believe if you go to the 26th, then back to today, you'll still have the same inventory as they had on the 26th. I may be wrong, and I'll test this in a minute.

edit: OK so I tested how Nook's Cranny is affected, and it seems to just reset the items. I was wrong above^, the items do not stay the same.

That's my experience... kind of. I time travel regularly, usually a day forward at a time, and rarely go backwards but I do occasionally (such as going back for events)
But, in that scenario, my experience is that if I ordered an item on the 26th, went back to today (22nd), and played on the 22nd, I usually would get the item on the 23rd. Same with sending letters, send one of the 26th, go back to the 22nd, they reply on the 23rd. But that's just my experience, again.

But, in general, if you've ordered something or done a meteor shower or something, go forward one day before going back to be SURE to get the items! I've never had an issue with star fragments but I've ALWAYS time traveled forward a day to be 100% sure to get them.
