So I'm trying to figure out my house before I get too many sets and end up clogging my town with things I don't need and never get a perfect town rating :(

So I was thinking of planning out my house while it still had only one room.

Main Room-
Back Room-
Left Room-
Right Room-
Attic-
Basement-

I know that I want these sets:
Regal
Rococo
Chess
Egg
Card (Maybe?)

And this is what I came up with originally:

Main Room- Regal
Back Room- (Counted as bedroom) Rococo
Left Room- Egg
Right Room-
Attic- Card
Basement- Chess

What should be my last set, and what do you think my layout should be?

I don't know what your last set should be, but I would like to add that you can have more than one set per room. I've learned that a lot of sets look good together. For example, I have the ranch set (customised to white) together with the regal set and I think they look great together. It's all up to you of course. You have all the freedom! :D

To be honest, I wouldn't make your last room a set. I'd make an original little themed room. If you have any ideas, I could possibly help :)

To avoid "clogging" your town, sell everything that you can order through the catalog. c:

I have a personal distaste for houses that simply have a different set per room, so I'm afraid I can't offer you any input on that matter. However, if you take the advice above of making your own original room, remember that you can always use the basement as it doesn't count towards the HHA. That's usually the sole reason to use singular sets in rooms.
