Trouble with the Giant Bowser fight in Dream Team

I am currently doing the Giant Bowser Battle, and during the 'repel the shell' portion, Luigi seems to be magnetically attracted to the Lava. Is there anyway to make the movements more precise, so that the Gyro-glitch doesn't occur?
I'm also doing it on Hard mode, making it even more annoying when I lose, as I have to go through all the dialogue again, as well as the entire fight, just to get a second chance.

Did you downloaded the latest patch for this game? It's supposed to make the glitch less likely to happen. If that happens too often, you can always try to move your 3DS slowly when they ask you to repel the shell.

I had the same problems and even with the update it didn't feel much better. It wanted NES style precision. You just have to hope you don't hit the lava and scrap by with a tiny bit of HP
