Tripping.

I don't know why, but my person has been constantly tripping and I'm getting so annoyed. Is it happening to anyone else? And I keep getting an error whenever I try to turn on the best friend messaging thing. D:

TL;DR in ACNL you have a random amount of luck every day for five different categories, where tripping falls under 'physical luck'. It can be increased by wearing the item told by Katrina of that day.

The Animal Crossing servers have been down, or something like that, for a while now disabling communication and town visits :[ Hopefully they'll be up again soon!

Tripping is caused by bad luck, to stop it you can improve your luck (Katrina) but I'm sure it passes in a day or two if you just ignore it, it is annoying though. I'm not sure about the messaging thing, is your internet working fine? Sounds like it could be an internet problem.

The messenger not working is because Nintendo's servers are still under maintenance. Anything to do with communication and internet will be down for the time being (It's supposed to be finished as of the 23rd, 8:00AM Pacific Time - A 4 hour [behind] difference for me within EST).

As for the tripping, you have bad luck today. You won't be able to get rid of it unless you have the lovely phone or if Katrina is in town. Both that furniture and her tells you what you need to wear to increase your luck (luck changes from day to day, can impact your friendliness towards your neighbors and cause tripping. It's fixed to that particular day, so TTing ahead and then back to the day won't make a difference). Sometimes the item of clothing you need is specific (for ex. Chima Jeongori, Lemon Gingham tank, etc.), other times it's something that's general (wearing any kind of shorts, hat, etc.).

I was starting to get worried over the whole maintenance thing. It's been happening for hours and crashing any town I visited. Lol.

Oh, really? Thanks! I'm relieved. It's been crashing/not letting me go on or visit anyone's town for a while, so I was worried. Lol.

I hate it when I get those bad luck days. At first when I played the game like over a year ago I had no clue as well and when I found out luckily I had the telephone!

Be careful running on a bad luck day. If you're carrying a non-tool item, like coffee or a balloon, you'll lose it when you fall.

Like above, tripping is caused by luck, which you can go to Katrina to help, or obtain a lovely phone which tells you your fortune in your house. Secondly, error is caused by servers going down, and you can use the code to go onto Nintendo's support website to find out what's going on. Or, it is caused because the wifi isn't reaching your device? I'm not sure, but it's one or the other.

When you are tripping it means you have bad luck. If you don't want to keep tripping walk instead of running in your town.
