Transferring Towns?

I want to play my old ACNL game card with my old town on my New Nintendo 3DS, but I can't seem to figure out how to do it. How can I play my old town on my New Nintendo 3DS? Is it just not possible? Thank you!

It should already be there, unless you started over at some point. The memory of your town saves on the cartridge, not the DS. Just set up the game and follow the steps, update your system if it asks, etc. and it should be fine.

Also, the parental control setting is normally set to "restricted" by default so make sure you change it to "do not restrict" under the settings menu if you plan to visit other towns or be visited or when you go to Club Tortimer (on the New 3DS, of course).
