Trading villagers for bells?

you think people are insane for paying virtual money for virtual things? really?

what else is there to do with bells exactly? I sold coco for 20 million, turned the bells around and bought two dream villagers. Bob and Savannah.

How is any of this extreme??? I think it would be extreme if people were paying real money but nothing we're dealing with is real.

You've exaggerated (and misinterpreted) my point. I wasn't referring to the concept of paying for things, I was talking about how quickly the amounts people are paying has accelerated.

Oh trust me, people pay real money for a lot of virtual things...

My Dad is one of these people. :p

They've accelerated because people who've had the game awhile have already payed off their homes and have now started accumulating a greater amount of bells. In a month I'm sure many people will be billionaires and villagers will sell for over 10 million regularly.

I just don't know how everyone gets all the bells haha, i suck at making money
theres no way in hell i would have been able to afford Stitches, so im so glad someone gave him to me for free on here..

stalk market, selling rare items on here and island bug catching lol
but i guess villager selling is a new thing to make money now

I personally wouldn't ever do it. Atm I have Biskit moving out and someone is coming over later to get him-for free. Its odd that people think they are entitled to all these bells/rare items just for giving someone a villager, if they don't want it but know someone who does, why not just give it them? Or is that just to much of a decent thing to do? I'm glad I know people that just give villagers away. A lot of people here are always giving away dreamies to people for nothing. I guess if its a villager a lot of people want then people are going to start making offers but I think it should just be first come first serve-no cost. Like the villager giveaway thread. I would never accept stuff for doing bugger all but obtain a villlager. Just my opinion/

it's not so much about being entitled to something as it is people offering and you accepting.

It's not like people put price tags on villagers. Most cases are an auction where it is up to the buyer how much they want to spend.

I know for my own case, I attempted to trade a villager for a dreamie but did not recieve any offers to trade that I was interested in before her move out date. So instead of a viable trade, I accepted bells.

Tonnes of people put price tags on villagers and accept nothing less that 50mil or whatever. If people want to take bells for giving away villagers then they can, I don't care. I'm just saying I would never do it. If I have something someone wants then I give it to them. I'll be giving away all of my villagers, accepting something in return is a bizarre concept to me as I did nothing in order to deserve a reward. If people wanna do it then all the more power to them. But you won't catch me selling off every rare item and villager ha.
