I've seen lower tiered villagers go for more, I must be doing something wrong. :V

I feel like the need for villagers is dropping drastically but the supply is still high. Also, because of the popularity of higher tier villagers, they aren't bought as often any more because they have been adopted so quickly if that makes any sense.
