Town names?

I named mine Lantern Town because I wanted something whimsical & I love the night time.

I love all kinds of Lanterns and how the paper & candle Lanterns dot the scenery at Asian festivals, and even the ornate English-style ones are beautiful & have a haunting look to them.

I love anything night themed, that reminds me of art, skies, fireflies & how it would suit any theme I chose. I was torn between a horror, magical & whimsical town theme.
They remind me of Will-O-Wisps, festivals, folktales & castles. Things of fantasy & imagination.

I thought the name could go in a few directions as a lantern represents a few things, but mostly light in the darkness. I feel that the very idea is pretty. :)

i named mine Lumira because i wanted to do something unique and nice sounding. i also like how it has "lum" in it, which means light. it makes my town seem like a bright place c:

I can't remember what I named my Wild World town, but I now have three New Leaf towns (five, if you count the two I've been playing for my husband):

You have three New Leaf towns, five in total in the house? That means... five cartridges! Now THAT is dedication! Imagine if you could have multiple towns per cartridge, perhaps even theoretically unlimited if using the SD card. Sales might drop by a small smidgen. :P

Dedication...obesession...lol. But I now have all of the native fruits so unlimited perfect fruit for all the needy animals!

Virmire was named after the planet from Mass Effect, and partially because my original cart, which was lost, had the town of Horizon, again named for a Mass Effect planet. I chose those two planets because of their importance in the story. Maybe something like Citadel, Palaven, or Noveria for my next town?

My cycling cart is Ylisse, complete with Mayor Lucina. That town name comes from Fire Emblem Awakening.

I called my Gamecube one Keller, its my town name from when I was a child. Wild World was San Juan, as in San Juan, Puerto Rico. I'm Puerto rican so I just named it the capital. City Folk was Castelia from Pokemon, and now mine is Solitude, from the game Skyrim! I'm not very creative lol.

Cocoplum. I wanted a flowery name, something unusual. And Coco is one of my favorite villagers.

Shika. It means 'deer' in Japanese and is my all deer town.

Corvidae. It is the cosmopolitan family of oscine passerine birds that includes crows and ravens, my witchcraft familars.

Misfit. This name was inspired by The Island of Misfit Toys. It is a town where the least popular villagers can move in and have a happy place to live.

What was the town of new york owned by? was it someone named ms.smith????? o.o (if so thats me)

Not checked the names of the players for all the towns but there has been "new york", "New-York" and loads of "New York"s. Don't even get me started on the Paris towns. Point is, it's very unlikely I stumbled into your town. :/
If you can give a description of what the plaza looks like then that might help but I can now visit dreams without even looking at the screen so... :P
