Town name?

So I decided to restart my town...and here I am sitting trying to think of a good town name. So far I have
La Lune
It's one of those names I like but I'm not sure if I'm going to like it later on...
I guess I could use some help? What made you pick your town name ect.?

I named mine after a town from my favorite book. You could try that! Pick a name from a book/game/TV show/movie/whatever that you like!

Iridum
Maria
Palus

Those are all moon-related. I'm not sure if you're a big fan of the moon; that was a big assumption I drew from your initial name, lol. Anyway, what I like to do is think of a concept - the moon, for example, and look up names related to said concept. I wanted a town named after a specific flower, so I went through a flower name catalogue for about an hour before deciding that I liked Magnolia the best. It's just a simple way of generating ideas.

My town name is Buchanan, and I named it after the middle name of my FAAAAAVORITE Marvel characters! James Buchanan Barnes! Also known as, Bucky Barnes!
I picked Buchanan because it sounded a bit elegant and extremely unique to me! I figured it would fit me to a point where I wouldn't have to restart ever again //bc if I restarted Buchanan, I'd cry ; v ;

Since your username is TangledBowties, I looked up the word tie, and bow in different languages.
For tie, I came up with Cravate, which is (neck)tie in French (I used google translate rip me)
For tie in Spanish, I had Corbata, which sounds pretty neat to me! o:
For tie in German-- *giggles* German words are funny ha, I got Krawatte! /giggles a bit more/

If I had to chose between those three, I'd pick Corbata x'DD

XD Ikr? It doesn't even have to be a town name, though. You could do what Bucky did and use a person's name too. (Very much admire their choice but that's another discussion for another day)

i randomly name my towns, but i named my town snowman, after the town in mother/earthbound beginnings
personally i like naming my towns after popular fictional towns, but do whatever you want!

Funny thing, I actually named my town Lunaria
Luna is the moon, and aria is a solo piece usually song by a soprano (song), so I think it sorta means moon song

Yeah, my other town (Peoria) is also a real town. I've been looking for something like that. I tried some Greek towns/cities but I didn't find any I liked that much. Still looking

If you play any other games that you like which included different islands/zones, it's a good way of getting ideas to name your town I also mix names of landmarks with random words, my cycle town's name is currently "Seapop"

I named my town after a fictional place in a story I wrote. Luin, is the town name. Pronounced Lune, like 'sand dune'. I also like the letter 'L' for some reason [no idea actually]
