Town Name & Theme Opinions?

Hey, I'm thinking of creating a witch themed town. Not a Halloween themed town, but a witch themed town. Think Practical Magic or Witches of East End. I pretty sure I'm going to name the mayor Magica (or Madoka cause I love that anime). But I can't decide what to name the town. What name do you guys like, and what do you think of the idea for the theme? Do you think giving the town an obviously witchy name, would be too much? And other than Kiki, what villagers do you think would fit in?

Names I had in mind:

-Coven/Coventry

-Solstice

-Cauldron

-MoonHill

-Witchton

-Balefire

I like Coven the best.

Kiki fits, and you could try Lucky as well. I'm not sure if there are other villagers that would fit with a creepy/witch theme, but you could try to get some of the mythical ones to fit the magic aspect of it (such as Julian or Hans). You could also go with villagers that have darker color themes.

I really like Moonhill. As for villagers, Lucky, Ankha, Coco and Biskit would go well. Maybe Rosie too, because she looks like the cat of a witch.

firstly thumbs up for you, since madoka's my favorite anime. also, i like either balefire or coven. this is a little silly, but i feel like ruby might be good, because even if she isn't witchy, she has kind of a magician-like feel to her. any of the cats and wolves would probably look good, and maybe phoebe, hans, or drago, since all three of them look like magical creatures.

Cauldron and Moonhill are my favorites.
Maybe a frog villager too along with Kiki? When thinking of animals that are associated with witches, along with black cats I usually think of frogs.
And if you go with Moonhill, maybe aim for Ruby because she's associated with the moon (being a moon rabbit and all).

I like Moonhill though spelt Moon Hill is kind of nice too.

As for villagers, maybe Lucky, Ruby,Cherry, Rodeo, Henry, Julian, Roscoe, Bella, Cobb, Klaus, Cole, Muffy.
Idk, they look like they could fit? Maybe?

Moonhill, I think, is the best. Some spooky villagers are Olaf, Klaus, Punchy, Rosie, Kiki, Gladys, Hamphrey, Nan, Annalise, Mathilda, and Tiffany (especially if she has her original clothes.)

I think Coven sounds the most witch-like!

Perhaps you could have a frog villager? As frogs can be used in witches spells?

I think it would be nice to use some of those QR designs that look like herb gardens or just gardens in general, since that could be where the witches grow their ingredients for the spells. And maybe a "Gathering" area, like having an area with trees, and then a clearing in the middle with a place with certain pwps and such for the area?

Coven sounds good. For villagers, I might agree with Frozen about the frog villagers - I might suggest some dark female villagers - Muffy, Kiki, or Mathilda. As for male villagers, I'd suggest Drago, Roscoe, or some cranky villagers. I'd also suggest adding some fairy circles in your town or something.

Hmm... make sure that your villagers are sort of dark, not all bright and cheerful looking. As for a town name, it's hard to choose, but I like the sound of Coven.

I chose her because she was less obvious than some others and immediately made me think of The Blair Witch Project. The others I chose because of their importance in Paganism and witchcraft. I really like the idea of there being a frog in the town, too. I can't really decide between Drift or Frobert, though. Who would you guys suggest from the frogs?

Perhaps you could chose between the two frogs on whether you want him to have the typical green colour for a frog, or a different colour of a more exotic frog?

Well, right after I posted, I started to lean more towards Drift because he resembles a salamander, IMO, which is where the dragon mythos originated from. So if I put Drift in, I would have two references to dragons, which I think is pretty awesome.
