I'm going to create a new town soon, but I have no idea what to call it. Of course I want a name I'd be satisfied with because I won't be able to change it. Any ideas? (Remember it has to be 8 characters or less)

I named mine Meow, cats only. But my last one was Winter. I think if I get another game chip it's gonna be Winter again since I can't fit Hurricane. Just something that sounds pretty.

i usually have my town name based off of the theme my towns going to have.

however, if your towns not going to have a theme, i would maybe search up cool-sounding words and see if any appeal to you

Is there a specific theme you're going for?

both my towns are named after songs (artist=Foxing), a previous one I had was Laputa after the ghibli movie, most of my other towns have also been song names!

Yeah what's your theme going to be? That's kind of an important thing to factor in.

What theme are you planning on using?
If no names, try something pretty that's ambiguous. Flower names pretty much fit nice in any town name no matter the theme.

Theme first.
Then names.
Theme ideas:

- Zen
- Cherry Blossoms
- Fruit
- Food
- Which season is your favorite?
- Who are your favorite villagers?

Give us some ideas.

Otherwise I recommend Hyrule. It used to be the most common town name.

I found that zodiac, constellation, and greek letter names make some pretty cool town titles. Could do something like "Gemini", "Orion", "Epsilon", etc.

I use town name generators sometimes, lol. Like, Lorhaven doesn't have a theme, I just really liked the name. Originally it was going to be kind of a vintage town, but I changed my mind on that.

Deeproot is my forest themed town. It's actually the same name of an area in World of Warcraft, though that was an unintentional connection when I made it (I was debating between Deeproot and Lorewood and my boyfriend picked Deeproot for me :p )

Finally, my fairytale themed town name did come directly from an area in WoW because I loved it so much, Llothien.

Past names I've used were:

- Everleaf (I miss this town, and Llothien is going to end up similar I think)
- Ivy Lane
- Hollowyn
- Merivale
- Haven
- Teapot
- Pawdon

It really depends on your theme. However Magnolia is a cute name ;)

That's my Mayor's name! :D

I named my 3rd town after an episode of the X-Files: Arcadia. My 2nd town Xenia is based off my cats name, Xena. And my first town I didn't know what to name it so I named it after a castle my favorite TV couple went to: Ashford.

Find something you like and see if you can make it work! :D I guess this shows I'm passionate about TV and cats... :D
