So I?ve spent maybe the last day and a half resetting my second town for a good map, I have a few layouts in mind but when they rarely come up they either have way too many ponds or a crooked river which I really don?t like. I like to plot reset which is the main problem because it seems most towns don?t have enough room for me to lay out my villagers the way id like to. Does anyone have any tips or is really the only option to keep trying? I don?t like to hack either
The only thing you can do is keep resetting until you get a town map that's right for you. It's a ramdomized process, unless you opt for hacking your town map. I spent hours on mine, as well before settling on one that was good enough. This town had the layout I wanted, but th native fruit wasn't the one I was looking for, but I got sick of resetting and going through the long dialogue just to see if my town had everything I was looking for.
When I started out, I looked at this for reference:
It shows you all of the possible map layout outcomes (or at least that's what the site I got it from claimed) that way you can already have an idea of what you want without having to reset again if you changed your mind to look for one you liked better.
Honestly, you just got to keep trying. I have a dream map I like as well, but it rarely pops up and it also has too many ponds when it does. I once did eventually found it, but sadly I reset it and I regret it to this day. :/ I guess it just matters on luck too. Just keep trying and I'm sure you will find it soon.
