i've finally figured out exactly what i'm doing with my second town and i wanted to share it with you guys :3

my second town is part tiny town, part huge forest, divided by the river, of course. in the town, there are mostly human villagers: my mayor, her best friend, and possibly another best friend, all children. there will also be stitches, maple, and if i do have that third character, then also tammy: they are the stuffed animals/teddy bears of the children. there will be a schoolhouse in the town run by a fourth character, who will be the teacher. the teacher tells her students not to go into the huge forest on the other side of the river.

but, of course, the children don't listen, and the little mayor and her friend(s) decide to explore the forest one day, only to discover that the forest is enchanted and filled with talking animals. ;) the source of the magic are the perfect pear trees, which only grow in the forest. their stuffed animals (maple, stitches, tammy) also come to life in the forest because of the magic, which is why they live in the tiny town area too. so, the children venture into the enchanted forest every day to spend time with their new animal friends, and it's their little secret that they keep from everyone.

aside from maple/stitches/tammy in the town, i'm planning on my forest villagers being genji, fauna, nate, peanut, wolfgang, jacques, and either diana or possibly coco- leaning towards coco since i feel like she fits really well in an enchanted forest, but unsure since then i'll have three normals and no snooties.

what do you guys think? :3

i think peanut is too bright for a forest character :x and if you want a snooty you should go with pecan :3 she has a very natural design

woahh i really like the idea as well!! i think you should go with coco instead of diana though, and maybe replace a different villager with a snooty one, coco just fits too well.
another idea - shouldnt the teacher maybe be the mayor? since they're the oldest in town and stuff? i like the idea of one of the kids being mayor too, but this just feels more 'real' to me personally.
anyway, whatever you do with the town, i'd love to visit it when youre done! :>

I'm doing a sort of nature feel in my town and so all villagers that I want have brown coloured houses, usually with hedge fences and such. You should consider Erik, Elmer, and Henry as well.

well see peanut is one of the reasons i wanted a second town. xD because i love her but she won't fit in my first town. tbh though i don't really see the villagers as needing to be 100% natural-looking since it is an enchanted forest rather than a regular super duper natural forest.

thank you :3 i had this dilemma too haha, but i figured this all out after i had already made the mayor and the town and found a perfect map. i'd like the teacher character to be called something teachery; her character that i currently have made in the town is called "Miss May" and her house is going to be the schoolhouse. idk haha, i thought about this too and i sort of wish i could switch it now but i already love the map and have three dreamies so child mayor it must be! xD

of course there is always the option of not doing the second friend character and keeping the mayor as an adult and then doing the two remaining characters as the children; i've been considering that... but i want to use tammy somewhere ;-; i may end up doing that and then just plotting tammy in the forest with the others since she's not really as teddybear-esque as maple and stitches anyway.

Sort of like a fairy-tale meets Winnie the Pooh.

And, I'd be lying if I said I didn't watch Pooh bear flounder about on adventures like, every day as a kid.
I think you should totally go for it. ^^

I love it...
But I feel like there should be a side character that is in the forest too... an evil witch of some sort.
Part of the reason the teacher tells the children to stay out of the enchanted forest. =3

I'm a kid at heart, so I absolutely love your idea.I would like to see it when finished. My two towns are definately kid friendly. So fun to see these creative ideas.

haha i knew someone was going to say this! this was actually my original idea, but i'm just not 100% sure since having a witch in the forest essentially means the children are doomed, and i wanted more of a happy, winnie-the-pooh thing like uglypug said above. i might still do this though ahhh i'm so torn! i guess these are things that will probably come together as the town goes along.

The children don't have to be doomed.
Since the wonderful animals can band together and be their protectors. ^0^

But you can always do the happy-go-lucky one and then in the future if you change your mind... and then change your mind even again... or again... Something like a side character can easily be undo once done again and again really. =3

Cute! My town has a forest like feel to it and this seems like a story book adventure, when your done you have to put the DA up I gotta visit this!

I really like this idea! I think Coco would be a better choice in this town than Diana, who is ubiquitous, and not as thematically synced as Coco. Just my 2 cents.
