Aww, I'm sorry that happened to you. One of my best friends had his data file corrupted before, and he said that he used to use his powersave before the tragedy happened. He said the game probably just had too much data from it and that's how it happened. He doesn't use his powersave anymore, though.

I don't mean to hijack the thread, but I was curious to know if data corruption that causes one to lose their town is also possible if you own a physical copy of the game?

I time travel constantly and nothing had happened. When I got the game on 4th of July, I already had heard about data corruption and I was super scared, that one day, I wake up, open my game, and that scary red box pops up saying my data is corrupted.. I have upgraded my house all the way, have almost all my Dreamies, and I have t.i.y for the first time.. I'm so sorry this happened to you, Louise.. I hope you can make your town even better then before! Trust me it'll get better
