I don?t have a Switch! I missed out on the pre-order for the AC Switch, so I figured I would just get a Switch Lite. Well then Nintendo had to release the Lite in Coral and naturally if I have to do the Light, that?s the one I want. But, that means an additional 2-week wait before I would get to play New Horizons! What do I do?

I'd say hold out for the system that you will get the most enjoyment from.
So if that means the coral then get the coral. While two weeks is hard to wait when there's so much anticipation, you'll be happy in the long run you have the system you like the most.

Some I guess advice from a person who frequents target and buys most release date games there, If you want to play new horizons on release date I suggest going to target early in the morning (8-9am) or 9pm Thursday when the new horizons switch drops. They might have it. They had the pokemon lets go and smash switched in stock on release date so why not this one. If you find it sweet you got your switch and ready for the game. If that wasn't possible then well you can get the coral lite later.
I would say the biggest issue would be....can you go 2 weeks waiting to play? For me if I had to wait I would be avoiding all social media and leaks etc so I can figure everything out for myself and I do not think I could avoid social media for 2 weeks xD But the coral lite is simply stunning!!
Well, what's more important? Having the coral Switch Lite over turquiose/yellow/grey one or playing Animal Crossing two (?) weeks earlier? I think in the end the two weeks will be irrelevant, but maybe the color choice isn't as important to you? Do you truly like the coral better or do you just want to have the newest Switch Lite?
But on another note, is it really impossible for you to get the AC Switch? A local online store still sells them for me, maybe you can import them from US/UK/CA to wherever you live? I feel like you might be able to find one before the coral switch comes out, even if it's after New Horizons' release...

You're right, the two weeks will be tough but ultimately I'll be happier with the coral. Crossing my fingers I can find an AC Switch and wont have to wait.

I think I would wait for the coral one if you want that. I waited for the purple DS before I bought games and I love it.
I was thinking of getting a Switch so I can trade Pokemon in Sword with my brother easier. Some of the Lites are cute, but I'd rather be able to play on a tv. I might try to get the AC one somewhere on release day, but I'm not sure when I am working yet.

I'm EST so Best Buy at 9 is a no-go for me. I guess if it's meant to be i'll catch one online, otherwise it's wait for coral. If i knew for sure i could snag an in-store I would try to come in a little late but I don't have the type of job you can just call in or pretend to be sick.
If you're going for the Switch Lite, then you'll just have to wait the 2 weeks to get the colour you want and play the game. You can't change the body of the Switch Lite like you can simply change the joycons of a regular Switch (unless you use a skin or cover), so getting the colour you want is important! The coral is really cute though so I think it's worth it :')

I am trading shifts at work so I will be off the day the AC Switch comes out. Unless I get lucky and snag one online around midnight on Thursday.
I'd definitely wait. The wait seems hard now, but if you don't, then after the fact you'll realize that waiting a couple weeks really wouldn't have been a big deal. (You could always find an old game to play during that time to keep you busy).
Also if you really do love the Coral colour you'll regret giving into getting one of the other ones likely until the end of time. This is a console you will likely play a lot and have for a very long time. I'd definitely get the colour you want from the beginning.

Update: Went to Target at opening and scored the ACNH Switch! Thanks everyone! I was so resigned to having to wait 2 weeks after everyone else to play, I don't know what to do now! I spend most weekends at my friend's place so I suppose I need a travel case now.
Congrats!!! That's so awesome to hear!
Definitely grab a travel case and put a screen protector on it to prevent scratches from the tv stand.
