----------------------------- HISTORY ---------------------------------------------
Torchlight is a dungeon crawling RPG much along the lines of Diablo or Fate. Which is appropriate because Torchlight is created by people who worked on both games. Torchlight was originally released as a PC exclusive game, but was later ported to
Xbox 360. PS3 ports were in the works but were cancelled. The PC version was fully modifiable allowing for full community support. The game was so popular it has even been announced that a sequel is being worked on as we speak.

------------------------------ STORY -----------------------------------------------
The story in Torchlight isn't exactly a reason to play this game. It was very bland and wasn't very good. Here's the run down. You wake up in the town of Torchlight only to be sent down into the seemingly never-ending mines where you find a women who requests your help to find her friend. When you find her friend he is transformed into a monster by the main enemy of the game , "Arlic". Arlic used be good but now he's evil because of EVIL MAGIC! You kill the friend and move on through the dungeon fighting absolutely random bosses until you get to floor 30 and fight Alric. Who, I might add was pretty easy. After killing Alric you must fight a FRIGGIN GOD!!!! After doing that you go back to Torchlight and you're left to fight through the endless dungeon.

----------------------------- GAMEPLAY --------------------------------------------
The gameplay on console drastically differ-ates from the point and click nature of the PC version. Spells are controlled by the LT, RT, Y, and B buttons. While X acts as the melee or shooting your pistols or rifles. A is used for picking up items or selecting choices from menus. The left stick is used for movement and the right stick is used for zooming the camera in and out. Gameplay is mainly hack and slash which is what most people have come to know from the Diablo games. While playing the game I never found anything to become repetitive because regularly new enemies are added.

---------------------------- PRESENTATION -------------------------------------------
The game has a sort of cartoony look and is no way trying to be realistic. Try WoW with the cartoony knob turned up just a tad. Spells and attacks look very nice. The deaths of enemies look very satisfying with huge splats of blood exploding with the defeat of enemies. Did I mention this game a T rating? The environments look nice as well. It has the same deal with the enemies. You are never around one for too long so nothing gets too stale. Other than that there's not much left to say about graphics. The sound is very nice. The music always sounds epic. Although its not always best. For example you'll be walking down a hallway with no enemies that leads to a scripted event. Instead of having mystical music it's playing something you would hear in a battle scene from LoTR. Spells sound nice and from what I could tell where very differentiated.

--------------------------- CONCLUSION ----------------------------------------------
Overall I thought Torchlight was an amazing experience that any RPG fan would enjoy. If you like Diablo or Fate, or just want a game to invest some time into I highly recommended that you play Torchlight. Over all I give the game an 8/10

8/10:
- 1 for bland story
- 1 for some strange musical queues.

Much better review, the structure really helps it stand out from just a plain wall of text.

I have Torchlight on pc, so I'll play it on there rather than xbox. Still, I thought it was a fun game. :)

Gonna have to agree with Andy, the headers make it much more enjoyable to read, and I like that you listed what you took off points for.

Yeah, the CC you gave me last time really helped me in my thinking process for this review.
