Off the top of my head: Chops, Alfonso, Barold, Kiki, Pietro (because clowns omg)...

Lucky - undead with weird yellow eye
Sprocket / Ribbot - Robots have no place in Animal Crossing
Stitches - Dead. Teddybear. Yuck.
Cube - Those eyes are not OK
Any of those awful squids living on land. All these characters have to go.

I like Canberra. She looks cute. I don't know why they picked her out of all the characters in Animal Crossing for that comic strip. I mean, jeez they could have picked any of those horrid squid or Coco or Lucky... But Canberra ?

Well, I couldn't find someone to adopt her here and at four other busy websites I posted in. The koalas don't seem popular in the first place (except for Eugene), so maybe when players go into the campsite already expecting a certain animal and find, say, Canberra, instead, the experience is 'jarring' enough that the player down-rates his appearance rather harsh.
Maybe if he had a white and pink color palette and a strawberry protruding from his nose, heh, it could save him from the curse of the unwanted villager animal, just like Merengue is popular despite being a rhino.
Of course, I'm speculating about the popularity of certain villager animals. Maybe the koalas and rhinos in general are actually quite popular.
Well, you've convinced me. Bubbles is leaving my town on July 9th. I want to adopt Canberra then, as my 10th villager
I can understand why rhinoceros, hippopotamus, cows/bulls, horses, eagles, monkeys, gorillas, ostridges and hens/roosters are not that popular. But koalas, I'm stumped. Even up to a point, I would say ducks are not all the rage (if you make exception of Molly) and this, to me, is also quite intriguing.

In my town, the weirdest are Big Top and Marcel. They just don't fit but hey, they live in my town, who am I to kick them out because they are weird lol...
