Ooh, this should be fun and possibly really hard! c: Villagers with one asterisk are villagers I have or have had in either my gamecube towns or new leaf ones while villagers with three asterisks are ones I have / have had in both my new leaf town and gamecube ones.
Tier 1
1. Lolly - The only villager I can remember having a strong reaction to when visiting dream towns.
Very cute and I definitely understand her appeal once I met her. I always thought she was cute in design. It probably helps she looks like my cat haha!
2. Fauna - One of newest villagers in the series I wanted to meet! She's very cute and I love her color scheme!
3. Stitches - Very colorful and adorable! I love that he's a tiny little teddy bear
4. Zucker - His design is kind of morbid to me? As he's food and lazies love food and yeah... He's very cute though I think!
5. Diana - Very beautiful in design and fits her personality perfectly
6. Merengue - She works really well as normal with uniquely sweet design
7. Ankha - Truly a queen among all villagers! She seems really cool
8. Marina - Never thought octopi could be pink and adorable but hey!
9. Kid Cat - He fits the whole justice thing that jock villagers have and he's a very cute kitty
10. Marshal - It's very amusing to me how ticked off he looks but he's adorable nonetheless
Tier 2
1. Wolfgang*** - He's been a cranky of mine spanning two first towns! Having him as my first cranky in New Leaf has only made me more fond of him, especially as we became
really fast friends and that's with him being the later villagers to move in!
2. Bob* - He was my first ever lazy and one of my first friends made when I got into AC! He's still in my original town.
3. Maple* - She was my first ever normal and the other one of my first friends made when I got into the series! If I remember correctly, she is unfortunately not in my original town anymore...
4. Rudy* - One of the newest villagers in the series that I really wanted and I was definitely not disappointed when I got him! So far he's been the only jock to flirt with me so much which is intensely amusing
5. Genji* - I didn't expect to like him when I first met him as my favorite, and first ever, jock had left me unexpectedly so I was kind of bitter towards him. He was someone I did like as time went on and I found myself feeling sad when he moved. I hope to have him again someday.
6. Poppy - I met her in a dream town once and I've been smitten ever since. She's the cutest squirrel!
7. Phoebe - One of the coolest designs out of all the villagers! I really love that she's a phoenix as that's one of my favorite mythical creatures. I met her in a dream and she seems kind of intimidating? Possibly because she reminds me a girl I knew growing up so strangely despite never having her as a villager she makes me a bit nostalgic.
8. Bunnie* - An adorable peppy who passed through my gamecube town who I would love to have her again someday!
9. Punchy - He's such an adorable cat? I'm pretty sure it's illegal to be this cute!
10. Mitzi - You can't beat a classic and she's always been a cutie!
Tier 3
1. Olivia*** (x 1000000) - The #1 snooty, the greatest villager ever! She just fits the snooty personality perfectly with how sassy she is and her lively expressions and her design: the little mole, her makeup, her uneven colors and her home! It also just means a lot to me that she was a starter villager twice and she even greeted me at the station! I just love her more and more as time goes on which is funny because I wasn't sure of her when I first met her but I'm really glad to have her as a villager.
2. Vesta* - The cutest normal ever! She's the most energetic one I've ever had and a villager I've wanted to have and meet ever since I got into the series. I was definitely not disappointed. She was the worth the wait and the bells. I love her so much.
3. Snake* - A unique design and the cutest jock! I saw his pic and I knew I wanted to meet him and when I did I was struck by how the dialogue really fits him and how expressive he is so I decided to get him for my town. He's been awesome just like I hoped.
4. Lily* - One of the first move ins in my original gamecube town and a major sweetheart who made quite an impression before she left.
5. Mira - Who wouldn't love a Sailor-V inspired villager?! Not me! All around she seems awesome.
6. Roscoe - One of the coolest character designs in the series! Looks intimidating and fits his personality.
7. Kyle* - The best smug! He's got my least favorite personality but I think he makes the dialogue really work so it's charming coming from him. He's the most awkward smug I've had so far and I love it.
8. Lobo - If you ask me, out of all the cranky wolves he looks like he fits the personality best. So I like that he legitimately looks like an old man which I think is adorable. He's also one of the villagers I'd like to have someday.
9. Papi - He's the cutest horse villager I think!
10. O'hare - I really like his character design! I find it very amusing he used to be a cranky villager
Tier 4
1. Pashmina* - One of the newest villagers I wanted to meet and for some reason her design brings about a lot of nostalgia? Like another uchi, she also reminds me girls I knew except from a time when I was very young. She has the same kind of quiet strength and kindness they had. I also think she's both very pretty and adorable.
2. Agnes* - First ever uchi and one of newest villagers I wanted to meet! She gave me three pics in total and sent me hybrids before she left. The cutest pig and an uchi to really set the standard by just being a great balance of toughness and kindness.
3. Pecan* - The most chill snooty I've ever had and very pretty! She, Portia and Olivia make up the snooty trio in my gamecube town.
4. Gladys - One of the most beautiful villagers I've ever seen and really cute to boot.
5. Peanut - A peppy I've always wanted to meet. She has a great design
6. Bonbon - Criminally underrated cutie! Where is the love?!
7. Katt - I know a lot of people find her ugly but I really like her design! I feel like she's plotting to take over the world with rock-n-roll while walking out of an old cartoon because that's what her design makes me think.
8. Sterling - Since jocks are pretty into the whole justice thing and he's a knight chicken and he's adorable I think he deserves a spot here!
9. Bangle* - Starter peppy in a brief alt gamecube town and the cutest tiger
10. Rolf* Starter cranky in a brief alt gamecube town and I remember him being pretty cool
Tier 5
1. Celia* - My starting normal in New Leaf! One of the newest villagers in the series I wanted to meet and I was not disappointed as she is a mega sweetheart and I always feel so loved talking with her. She gave me a third pic just yesterday!
2. Patty*** - Starting peppy in New Leaf and in a brief alt town! She's always been a villager I wanted to have and she's one of the best and cutest peppies imo.
3. Anchovy*** - Starting lazy in New Leaf and was in one of my gamecube towns! He's one of the cutest birds with his little bowlcut and thick eyebrows. He's very expressive and tiny and just very precious overall.
4. Rory* - Starting jock in New Leaf and the only villager I wasn't familiar with out of my original five! He made a very big impression by just being the biggest ray of sunshine in town and the first ever villager to give me a picture. It was a bittersweet day when he left and he's the only villager so far I've cried about leaving but he went to good home so it was alright in the end.
5. Puddles* - One of the cutest and sweetest peppies I've ever had the pleasure of meeting! She was in my original gamecube for some time before she left.
6. Portia* - A villager I didn't expect to keep in my gamecube town as I didn't want more than two snooties but I was struck with how cute she was and when she wore the polar fleece and said ruffian she seemed like a princess and I had to keep her!
7. Shari - The cutest monkey in the series! Definitely an uchi I'd love to have someday.
8. Knox - He's a knight chicken! How is that not awesome?!
9. Antonio - An incredibly cute anteater and jock, it's a little bizarre how low he is tier wise but I know his personality isn't too liked
10. Gaston - HAVE YOU SEEN HIM? He looks legitimately cranky! He just fits the personality so well!
Argh, this feels embarrassingly rambly but I always enjoy taking an opportunity to talk about what I like. In general though I find that there are a lot of enjoyable villagers!
