tool boxes?

is there somewhere down the line or a DIY somewhere that can actually store tools instead of being a decoration? i hate leaving spare things around my island, like extra fishing rods by my dock, since it's on the opposite end of the island from my house. it's a pain to carry them in the inventory too, because they take up space for the fishes too of course.

I usually just keep one of each tool, and then some spare sticks/iron to make more when those ones break. I don't know if there is an item that can hold items outside of your house. I don't think there is (only wardrobe type stuff for outfit changes). Honestly...it's just never been a big issue for me to have 30 sticks and 30 iron to make new rods/nets on demand. It does waste two slots...but, that's not as bad as having a bunch of extra tools on-hand.
