Too much of a personality type

I draw the line at having two of the same personality. I had four peppies in NL one time and that was two too many! And I really like peppies!

In new leaf I had mostly lazy and peppy villagers since I liked most of their designs. The dialogue got stale pretty quickly, so this time around I think i'll settle for one of each personality type, with two normal and two smug villagers.

For some reason, I really don't like the lazy and peppy dialogue in these games...
my lazy villagers keep talking about 'the bugs under their floor...' it kinda creeps me out

Right now I have one Jock, two Uchi/Sisterly, two Lazy, one Peppy, and one Normal. My goal is to have my last two villagers be Snooty and Cranky, but if I find one of my dreamies of a personality I have, I will take them.

I definitely think 1 of each at least is the best bet because otherwise you're just left with way too much repetition. Normally i can deal with the repetition but hearing my 4 lazy villagers blab on about the stupid bugs like every time i talk to them makes me so mad ive never ever owned a snooty yet

I personally cap at 3 per personality which is hard considering how many normals I like. I usually don't end up having any jock villagers, but I like my current distribution right now in New Horizons with one of everything and an extra lazy and normal villager.

It seems the game locks things behind personality types. So we need to have 1 of each.

If my math serves me well, that means we can choose to have 2-3 of the same personalities in the town.

Smugs are annoying and self centered
Peppies are rude, annoying and self centered
Uchis are rude and mean, and boring
Normals are kind.
Jocks are boring
Lazies are friendly.
Snooties are mature

After getting one of each, I'd probably have 1 extra lazy, and 1 extra normal.

I wanted one per personality and also no same species so they’re all different. Right now it’s hard to do so since I have 2 lazys, snooties and normals... out of the 6 of them, 2 are definitely staying (coco and sherb) it’s gonna be a pain having the rest move out.

I had 3 normals before and while I loved them all, it was still too much so I’d say 2 max for any personality. Jocks and peppies I would reserve to just 1 each as their dialogue is very one note. Having multiples doesn’t sound too good lol.

Audie drives me up the wall. I plan on keeping Ruby because I like bunnies. Skye is my favorite wolf and I'll be getting her card soon.

it feels like peppy and jock villagers have the most repetitive dialogue. i have two jocks and three peppies currently (one of each are dreamies and the rest are from my original 10 villagers that will eventually leave. i tend to talk to my dreamy peppy the most, and only really talk to the other two when i have a nook miles + goal for it or I'm just going around talking to people. jocks are easy enough to handle two of if you space out talking to them but their dialogue is very specific. i plan on having four smugs in my town though which will likely get a tad annoying but i'll deal lol

I have three lazies and its a blast.

Erik, Sherb, and Zucker are all one mad mesh of ridiculous and I wouldn't trade any of them for the world, they can talk about the bugs under their floorboards til' the sun rises and sets again I vibe.

I have three smugs, a peppy, a normal, a cranky, a sisterly, a lazy and a jock. Two out of my three smugs are my dreamies so they have to stay. One smug was my first camper which I have grown to like. Planning to get my last dreamie which is a jock.

It's really a hard decision which one I will allow to move out though since I want to cycle out my first five villagers but they all of them I like. If only I have amiibo cards so that I could invite them again if I miss them.

I have 3 peppy and 2 normal villagers and i don't really seem to be bothered by it, although i might make rule of maximum number of every personality to 5 villagers

I don't like having too many of one personality. Three of one personality is the highest I would go although I would rather have two of the same. If I were to double up on personality types I would rather it be on lazy and jock

I like to have at least one of each, and then maybe fill in the extra space with anything other than jock. I don't really like jock personalities that much...

I think people just like Audie because she's new. Any of the villagers can wear sunglasses if you give them a pair. I gave Sherb a work shirt and glasses and now he looks like Raymond.

Yeah the new ones are all quite popular though Audie is cute. I‘m sticking by Skye though, she’s just adorable I wouldn’t mind getting the new ones just to know what having them is like. Audie is definitely on the list because she’s a wolf

I try not to have two of the same types (Unless it's a villager I really like!!)

But I absolutely love the Jock types lol
