Too many villagers own the rattan series

are we really like, in that level of shortage of furniture? seeing everyone else's house, it seems so repetitive with just a different color scheme. same as the bathtub items. it's just, whatever's the villager favorite color is.
short answer, yes. long answer, all in the name of long-term development/updates. (i swear i'm trying to be patient but @Nintendo pls bring back regal furniture, ty). it does make me wonder if everyone will be stuck with their rattan furniture forever? like colton deserves to have an update to the aforementioned regal, imo!

Julia has some of the rattan furniture in her house but the way it is set, it looks super nice.
But I would like more furniture as well.

yes compared to the last games the villager's houses just seem to be using the same sets over and over again, just different colors
I hope the interiors will change with future updates. It feels like the villagers are way less unique that way. :/

Yeah there's not enough variety. I just craft stuff I like and give it to villagers whose style it fits. Sometimes they just throw it out, though...

I agree that it would be nice go have more furniture. I'm glad that some of my villagers dont just have the full rattan set. If they dont have the rattan set its generally the antique or cute set!

i also made another thread about how starter villagers should have their house upgraded in the future, and was told there was a hint found by dataminers involving real estate. i'm thinking lottie or lyle? and/or we're able to redesign villager houses?

colton is one of my faves, i wonder what his house looks like now :(

Those are probably pieces that are universal and can easily fit any themes; Log, iron garden, wood, bamboo. You can start stretching it a bit and start having backstories and use the unique pieces. I personally don't have the imagination so all of my villager houses is starting to look the same. It's the point where I might just simplify it and condense their areas, haha. They are hardly mingling outside of their houses anyways so it's really just for me.

Tbh, a lot and I mean a lot of villagers have really cool wallpapers and flooring but then almost no actual furniture, and/or houses that are drastically different from their NL houses to the point that they don’t fit at all, or houses that are passable but could easily be way better, and it just shows me that yeah we are that short on furniture. When looking at villager interiors I find more that I dislike than ones I like because of all this and it’s honestly the thing that disappoints me most about the lack of furniture variety, because I doubt they’ll be updated even if we get hundreds more furniture items.

I'm pretty sure they'd bring back other furniture sets in the previous titles, sadly those items can't be the villagers interior items anymore tho

Definitely a shortage of furniture types. Would be nice if any updates rolled out that villagers would slowly replace their furniture with series that they like or suit them. I miss Biskit's ranch furniture house.

I feel the imperial set is another big offender personally. I have Pango and Claudia and they both have that set. Neither of them even look like it would fit them. Maybe if Pango had the blue version it would fit but no, it's the brown one.

Definitely has to do with the shortage of furniture along with the devs playing safe with villager house designs.

I was hoping to finally complete the regal series for the first time in NH, only to find out that it wasn't in the game at all :( I really really reeeeally hope the bring at least some of the old sets back. although that probably wouldn't solve the issue of a lot of villager houses looking really same. I can't imagine them going through the trouble of redesigning villager homes...

It would be nice if there was just a little more variety. 2 of my 10 villagers currently have the "We're Open" neon sign in their house (Audie and Pashmina), and I'm thinking about bringing in a third via amiibo (Jacques) who also has it. Just kind of an odd quirk.

Colton's house is super duper cute, very classy just like him. ❤

i noticed this too!!! the "we're open" sign, together with that diner set? i see it quite often, almost as if a replacement for the sleek and modern series. so messy.

I agree. Although it makes gift giving pretty easy, I just gift another item to them in the same set :/
