too many of one species?

I ran into this issue a lot lol, a lot of my favorites are the same species, so I've had to talk myself out of having them rn so I don't have a whole town of just wolves and rabbits : P

I have 2 wolves, 2 rabbits and 2 deer, but everything else is different

Dont think too hard about it if you enjoy the villagers and the specific animal designs.

oh, i don't think there's a right way to play it either! my concern stemmed from the fact that i like variety, but i also like a lot of wolves. so there's a conflict of interest for me in that regard. i find it fun to have a lot of different-looking villagers. but i also love the wolves! at the end of the day i think i'm just gonna go for the wolves, the responses are pretty unanimous here haha

(The wolves are the best hehe) For sure! I'm the same way Hey if it doesn't work out with the wolves give something else a shot! Give give it a try and see how you like it ^-^ I usually mock up my towns on an ACNL test town to see how I like villager Dynamics hehe I found that I was happiest with certain villagers and I went for it <3

Plus some people have towns with all of 1 species (cat comes to mind) so I think you'll be fine

well i have 5 wolf villagers and i don't think it's stale haha i'm grateful to have the other 5 of a different species, that's for sure though. (they also all aren't staying, but i wouldn't mind if they did). the personalities are more important to me with regards to variety.

What a coincidence, my island has 4 wolves and 2 with the same personality type. In the end, it's who you love. Trying to conform to what some people do with a mix of species is silly if you ask me when you already know who you want. There's never too much or too little

I currently have 3 hamsters and even though they are different personalities I do find it boring at times. I like a mix of species

I tried to have all my dreamies be different species and personality, but found it too restrictive. Now I am okay with multiples, but only 2 max.

Personally, I would be all-or-nothing. I have two squirrel villagers right now and want to get rid of one of them because I don't like having even two of the same animal. However, I've seen islands that have only one kind of animal and I like those too, but there isn't an animal that I like enough to try that with. It doesn't bother me when I see it on other islands, but on my own I'd like to have every villager be a different species. Not sure why, I guess I just need variety.
